26th November 2021: My research notebook has been gathering dust for the last few months but it has reappeared today because I’ve been working on new research! Well, it’s the same topic as my PhD thesis but it’s new texts and ideas. I’m very much looking forward to spending more time with this research in the coming weeks and, hopefully, I’ll have a draft sketched out before I start teaching in January.

may 24th, 10:50 pm I should be finishing an essay on Henri Matisse, but I’m so distracted by my longing for summer vacation, this semester feels endless. So I started looking at my travel journal from when I went to Porto to visit a friend and the nostalgia was intense. I wish I could go there this summer, because I feel in love with this city. What are your summer plans?

really lost my streak at the end there but i made it! i think i’ll try and keep up posting often because sharing what i’m doing (almost) every day has definitely made me study a lot more, and i’m gonna need to keep that up this semster. and yeah i finished my january spread halfway through february but again, better late than never :)
