It’s a recurring question people ask throughout the years. And let’s be real, everytime someone asks that question, you always have a different answer. As well, if you ask others, they too will have different answers.
Take the people around you for example.
For your little brother, if you ask him what does love mean, he’ll probably say love means being happy. Or love means seeing your mom or dad happy. For him, love means getting to hug his parents at the end of the day, watching dad look at mom like she’s his entire world, seeing old wedding pictures before he was born or simply, love can also mean getting that new toy he’s always wanted.
For your parents, love means home. It’s the moment you and your brother entered their lives and the day they come home after the hospital. Love for them means the moment they open the front door, knowing that there is an actual home to come to. It’s of messy kitchens, game nights, a small massage from your brother and watching television together. For them, love means family.
Yet, that’s only one aspect of love they touch upon. The way your family perceives it is only one branch of a whole testimony, it’s the one filled with blissful days because you have someone to share it with, and there are many more variations of the meaning of love than just that.
And you know that because of Kuroo Tetsurou.
Because to him, love means vulnerability. To him, it means knowing someone beyond their surface and understanding every inch of them physically and emotionally. It’s to give someone their entire heart on a platter knowing that they can one day break it, but trusting that neither one would break the other’s. His type of love isn’t necessarily happy, but it’s gentle. It feels secure.
Kuroo makes love feel warm.
Though, it still keeps you up your toes.
