am i the only person in this fandom that wants this series to have more hopeful stories rather than completely dystopian and depressed stores? and i genuinely feel like the series darker moments have way more impact in the more “light-hearted” entries in the series…i seriously can’t be alone in this 😩 why do people want this series to be dark and gritty so bad? these games have always been a healthy mix of hopeful and tragic and i wouldn’t want that to change at all

even majora’s mask and twilight princess aren’t as dystopian as people make them out to be. i feel like people didn’t complete these games and aren’t remembering them correctly…despite both being probably the most depressing entries of the series, there are still plenty of messages of hope in there. majora’s mask probably has the strongest moral about persevering through difficult times and learning to forgive.

and people often dismiss games like wind waker and skyward sword for being too cute and nice, but we all know one of the most fascinating and tragic villains of the series comes from wind waker;

idk i just find it so weird this fandom wants gritty stories that end miserably and painfully so bad when that’s already been way too overdone in media recently and honestly at a time like this we really could use more positive stories in our lives. a story having a good ending doesn’t mean it’s bad or boring.

It’s not childish to want happy endings and I will die on that hill.
