The two of them struck up a conversation and Kate was excited to find out that Brenton was also a vegetarian. She started daydreaming about cooking for the hunk, but quickly snapped out of it, reminding herself that they had just met. They sat for a while, chatting, until Brenton announced that he had to go and meet his mother for dinner. Before he left, he gave Kate his phone number and she was ecstatic. 

Kate didn’t let that rude guy ruin her day though, she really wanted to make friends. She spotted a friendly looking guy wearing glasses across the park. She mustered up what little courage she had left and made a cheesy joke, to which he gave a small laugh and introduced himself. 

Brenton: “Sorry if I’m a little smelly, I just got done with a jog.”

Kate: “I don’t smell a thing!”

Brenton: “I was just about to go sit over there, if you want to join?”

Kate nodded, walking with Brenton over to the tables next to the produce stand. 

Kate decided to go out again and attempt to make friends. She found another attractive blonde and introduced herself, this time leading with a joke. He was not impressed at all and told her she smelled. Kate smiled and walked away, embarrassed. 

Kate made her way home and decided it was time for some self care. So she whipped up a nice dinner and read a book on cooking techniques. 

To drown her sorrows To take her mind off of the rejection, Kate went across the street to the bar and ordered a drink. She attempted to spark up a conversation with the women next to her, but she was preoccupied with someone else. She just couldn’t get a handle on this whole social thing and it was really bumming her out. 

After her small house warming, Kate decided to go out on the town and see what she could dig up. As she was digging in a box of junk, she spotted a pretty blonde walking by. After finding a fancy looking snow globe, she mustered up the courage to introduce herself. The blonde didn’t even give her name and shrugged Kates introduction off. 

Blonde: “I don’t associate with lowlifes who dig in garbage”

Kate: “You don’t know what you’re talking about!! F*#^ off!”

Kate stomped off in a rage and mumbled curses to herself. People here were so rude, and that says a lot coming from Kate. She was usually the rude one who was quick to judge. 

Woken by a knock on the door, Kate was oddly rejuvenated by her short nap. She invited her neighbors in without a second thought and offered to cook a meal for them. Luckily they were preoccupied with each other when she dropped the salt shaker into the mac n cheese. She spent time with both sets of neighbors but Arun and Jesminder were still quite preoccupied with each other. She did however, manage to strike up a conversation with Geeta and Raj.  

Kate stomped into her bedroom and threw herself down onto her bed. She decided the best way for her to cool off would be to take a short nap. She really wanted to make friends in this new place and the best way to do that would be to be as cool-headed as she possibly could. 

Kate heard a voice from inside telling her to come in, so she let herself in. She introduced herself, but neither of her neighbors offered their names. She sat on the couch with them and attempted to put herself into their conversations, but she was ignored. She rolled her eyes, clenched her fist, and tried her best to stay calm and not have an outburst. Instead, she excused herself and walked out of the apartment as calmly as she could. As she was walking out, her neighbors had no idea she had even gotten up.

After her oooooh so decadent meal, Kate decided she should get a job to truly set off her new life. A dish washer wasn't too bad, but as long as she worked hard and stayed diligent, she knew she’d rise to the top eventually. After sending in her application, Kate went across the hall to meet her new neighbors. She had to give herself a small pep talk, because she knew she was quick to have a temper and she didn’t want to start off in San Myshuno with a bad reputation.

Kate walked into her new apartment building, not remembering it being quite so shabby her first time there. But she shrugged it off, knowing she would be able to afford better on day in the future. Her first order of business was to get food into her rumbling stomach. She whipped up a quick gooey grilled cheese and sat down at her electric blue stools, admiring the view. I can’t believe I own this apartment. It’s been so long since I’ve been able to call something my own. 

This is Kate Craven, she is 19 years old and dreams to be a Master Chef one day. She is a vegetarian, a self-proclaimed romantic. But if you ask anyone she’s encountered, she can be a little bit hostile, so watch out.

She was in and out of foster care until she turned 18. Then she bummed it on a friends couch until she was able to save up enough money to live on her own. After shelling out the money for her new apartment, she is down to 35 simoleons. She quit her old job of stocking shelves to pursue her dream job.
