how do cats smell so good when they never take any baths

if anyone is interested in the actual answer: they have scent glands behind their ears that give off that clean, "fresh laundry" smell they have, and why its stronger near their head/neck. when you see them bathing themselves and rubbing their paw over their ear a few times, that's them spreading the smell around.

also they do bathe, in fact they spend more time cleaning themself than most other animals! the barbs on their tongue (which are what cause them to have that sandpapery texture youve felt if youve been licked by one) are there to help distribute their saliva all the way through their coat when they lick themselves! they also act as very smart combs, since the hooks are actually moveable and can be angled to detangle and deep clean their fur

as for why the scent glands smell so clean to us - THAT is in fact their sweet little souls seeping through

Still can't get over the fact that Toby Fox dreamed up a game ending, but he decided he wanted to make something a little less ambitious first, so instead he made the most influential indie game of all time

at some point "don't assume someone's gender/sexuality" became "assume everyone is cishet unless told otherwise in explicit detail" when that is almost the exact opposite of the original phrases intention.

i think that people should start using “in poor taste” as a descriptor again given it is often the most applicable and clearest phrase when discoursing about media and analysis; sometimes a piece of art isn’t actually THE most problematic thing of all time is is. just in poor taste (not JUST in poor taste as a reductive take on potential harm but/and as in regardless of intent the impact is this was an offensive or stupid take/choice)
