BLOG REMAKE!!
In the span of a few days, Iβm going to remake this blog. When I do, Anita will primarily be a Straw Hat OC. I know those arenβt widely accepted, but Iβve been putting too much effort into that verse, and I honestly love it to pieces. I know there arenβt many Straw Hats for her to interact with or that will accept her as part of the crew butΒ Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
Iβll move threads and most relationships over when I do.
π» β FRANKY
Bursting into loud heartfelt laughter she shook her head genuinelyΒ enjoying the attitude that Anita showed off.Β βShould I let ya take care of that? I mean I can lend ya a hand but first things first get my stuff then we can have funβ winking she too got out of bed only to find her boots close by to put on. Rolling her own muscular shoulders she followed right behind her while looking around.
βThis is a pretty good woodβ¦β she mused while letting her hand slide against the wooden walls of the ship.Β βYa shipwright must be really skilled to make somethin like thisΒ β
βHey, he kicked your ass too β you wanna take a swing atΒ βim, be my guest. Actually, thinkinβ about it, I wanna see the look on his face when he realizes he got his ass handed to him by two women insteadβa one.β The thought was becoming more and more appealing to her. She wasnβt the type that wanted to keep a fight to herself if someone else had equal reason to take part.Β βYeah, your stuff first. Then we findΒ βim.β
Pushing the infirmary doors open and stepping out into the kitchen, Anita glanced back to find their guest admiring the craftsmanship.Β βHeβs the best! His name is Franky too. You two could meet, it would be funny as hell watchinβ you two figure out who Iβm talkinβ to if I say your names.β
π» β LEOLA
βI can exert myself so much, my hair turns grey.β No Leola, thatβs not how it works at all.Β βOther than that, Iβm pretty strong for my size. Iβve out-lifted guys three times my weight, but I donβt really have anything unique like being able to turn into a bear.βΒ
Still, Leola didnβt sound like she was downplaying herself when she explained her strength.Β βBears are pretty cool though. Not nearly as mean as cats or dolphins, and donβt get me started on birds. Bloody things think theyβre so brilliant just because they can fly.β
βAintβ.Β .Β . Ainβt that just called beinβ stressed out? I think everyone can do that if they try hard enough.β For a second, she tried to imagine Leola with grey hair. Then, another second later, she tried to imagine herself with grey hair. When she didnβt put wrinkles all over her face and hunched herself over, she didnβt think she would look too bad. But, for now, she preferred keeping her hair as dark as it was.
Arms lifting, she gave them a little flex.Β
βBeinβ strong is pretty cool! Makes me wonder if you could lift someβa the rocks weβre gonna find up there. Can you lift a bolder? Oh! Can you lift a bear? Weβre pretty heavy.β She paused, peering at the ranting woman.Β βYou got it out for all of nature or somethinβ? Bad experience with cats? I didnβt think dolphins could be mean.β
π» β ROSA
Β Β Β | Β Β Β βͺΒ Β Β βOf course I do!!β she answers with little to no hesitation; it may not have been much to Anita, it may not have even been much if anyone else had been in the pianistβs position but to Rosa, her music was everything to her β it had almost been as though the brunette through returning the piece, had given her back a piece of herself. βAnnie did something nice for me, and because of it I didnβt just get my music back.. I got a friend!β
Β Β Β The uncertainty which came from not knowing if your love would return your feelings β Rosa knew it all too well, knew of the fears of not being able to handle the truth, made the choice to live in the dark instead only to regret it later when she realized it had been too late to confess. She got another chance to do things differently but not everyone is as lucky, and the regret she carried for so long with her is not one she wished her friend experience. ββ But isnβt it better than not knowing? Isnβt it better to love and hurt than to never know.. to never love at all? β even if things donβt work out.. wouldnβt it make him happy?β
Β Β Β Words of encouragementΒ would halt replaced by a pout as Anita called her short β the petite would have inevitably argued about that fact had she not been caught off guard with the little shake given, Indigo widening momentarily in awe before she chuckled, cheeks tinting red as Anita described punching her β she was not wrong but it was a good thing neither had been willing to try.Β
Β Β Β A force of nature β the label drew a timid smile to her lips, one far too soft and contrasting with the title and yet it made her happy, nonetheless.Β
Β Β Β Once released from her friendβs grasp, Rosaβs own digits would lift to take a hold of one of her friendβs, a faint squeeze being the only thing she knew to do to provide comfort as her smile turned from soft to apologetic. βI β I donβt know that you do.. maybe you donβt.. I β you say Iβm a force of nature but..Β I couldnβt do it, myself. Iβm sorry..β when she was rejected, herself. βBut in time, I started to wonder if it was alright.. for me to love him even if he didnβt love me back?β a pause, letting go of her hand only to mimic Anitaβs previous action of shaking her, done in a playful attempt to lighten the mood.Β
Β Β Β βWhy are you talking as if youβve already been turned down?! You canβt tell him if you already look this disappointed! Chin up!β
Rosaβs little declaration and outward admittance that Anita was her friend nearly floored the brunette. Hand to her chest, she was forced to take a breath and not let the wash of emotion get to her. People didnβt often refer to her as a friend; comrade, crew mate and buddy β maybe β but being called someoneβs friend meant more to her than that. It was a step under being considered family, but she didnβt dare consider that she might be lucky enough to reach that, not when sheβd just been given something great a mere second ago. She was greedy and selfish, but not to that extent.
All she needed now was for Rosa to stop being so supportive and sweet. It was too cute for the poor acrobatβs heart to handle and had begun to cause her actual pain. It wasnβt a bad thing, but there was too much purity packed into one, small human for it not to effect Anita in some way.
The idea of making him happy did appeal to her. He did so much for her and the rest of the crew that it felt unfair, and that was how she knew that she had it as bad as she did. She rarely cared if she was being self-centered, but all she could often think about were ways of lessening his burden and making him feel appreciated for all he did.
Even now, thinking about it made her stomach knot.
The squeeze she felt around her fingers was returned, if only to stop herself from anxiously picking at her fingernails.
βThatβs the thing, though. I already liked someone that didnβt like me back, and it hurt like hell knowinβ he thought I was silly for it. He pulled me along and didnβt care at all that he hurt me. I know Sβββ He nearly choked on the name and felt her cheeks burn hotter than they had before.Β βI know he ainβt like that, but I donβt wanna tell him and get disappointed again. It sucks.β
She released Rosaβs hand and buried both sets of fingers into her hair where she scratched and groaned out of frustration.
βHow am I supposed to look when I tell him? I did this once already and I messed up! If I do tellΒ βim, and I ainβt sayinβ Iβm gonna, what do I do? What do I say? How do I even bring it up? Just, yβknow,Β βOh, hey there, thanks for dinner. By the way, I like you.β I donβt think thatβll do it.β
π» β LARRY
And there he was, somewhat obliging to her request by sitting on her back while Anita was doing push-ups, even to a point to adjust his position for an even distribution.Β
Understandably Leon felt a bit awkward by all of this, especially if some of the people in the distance were watching them along the way.Β
βErrβ¦β The brunet hesitatingly spoke up.Β βH-how long do you have to do this?βΒ Β
Huffing and sweating profusely, Anita almost wished he would stop talking so she could focus a little more intently. Sighing out a shaky breath, she pushed up on her arms and held him aloft for one.Β .Β . two.Β .Β . three.Β .Β .
βTil Iβm good and ready to quit. Missed my chance to work out yesterday, so I gotta make up for it today.β She glanced over her shoulder at him and noticed how uneasy his expression was. Anita rolled her eyes and went down again, then back up, then down again.Β βGive me ten more minutes, alright? Just be glad Iβm not doinβ any clapping push-ups.β
π» β WINGS
π βΒ Sebastian nodded. He personally thought it was kind of cute not that he would voice that thought outloud though.Β βTrope?β he asked curious as he leaned his head down to be on the same level of eyesight as the girl so she didnβt have to look up all the time.
βWere you part of an act or something?β he had heard about those things which humans did, but he had not been to one himself.Β βThere are actually a few others, like very big cats and dogs.β he said in amusement when he remembered their two rulers.
βYeah! Was part of a circus, actually. Had a whole island just for it, even. Had a big olβ red-and-white tent, had games, acts, food anβ all that good stuff. I was the acrobat! One of the acrobats, but the other guy is a knob and I hateΒ βim now. Heβs the reason I got all these gnarly burns, see?β She was already wearing ants short enough to go to her knees, exposing the burns that licked along the inside of her left ankle and calf muscle.
Interest piqued, Anita lifted her head a little more and widened her eyes.Β βDo you guys have bear minks?β

Yuna sighed in frustration. A sea king. Of all things, a sea king was rampaging near the shore, making any ships unable to leave.
βJust when I needed to get a shipβ¦β Yuna muttered to herself. She could try fighting it, but for a girl who never learned to swim, that was just too troublesome. Regardless, she wasnβt worried. Once the sea king stop rampaging, it should probably leave, right?
Because of that, Yuna rented a room in a inn and decided to spend the night there.
It was evening when she walked downstairs towards the innβs bar. Since she was underage, she couldnβt drink, but the food there was pretty good as well.
βBut itβs crowdedβ¦β Yuna mumbled, looking around. It made her uncomfortable, since people started back at her strangely. Probably because of her clothes. Then, she finally found an empty seat. It was a table with a single woman sitting there. Yuna decided to approach.
βExcuse me, mind if I seat next to you?β
Said table was packed with food of all sorts β in fact, the innβs entire menu had been placed in front of the ravenous woman. Three of the plates had been licked clean already, and she was making impressive progress through the fourth. The acrobat, foregoing all of her manners, was so deeply invested in finishing her meals and booking it out of there that she didnβt look up when addressed. Food shoved into her mouth, she let out an agreeable grunt.
βSure, go for it.β She motioned vaguely with a hand towards the empty seat.Β βJust donβt touch anyβa my food.β
A few more heavy bites were taken out of her current dish before she finally looked up. Brown eyes first caught the shape of the ears attached her the hood draped over her head, the sight giving her reason to pause. The rest of the garment had her just as baffled, from the toes under the table to the cute face sewn into the hood between the ears.
βYou are some kindβa brave walkinβ around in that. I like it! Itβs a bear, right?β She leaned over the table to reach for the hood, hoping she could feel one of the ears.
go on. blow the whistle.
π» β @goldgoggles
She leaned in real close, mud-colored eyes focused intently on his stubbly profile. The whistle rested between her lips, but she didnβt blow into it just yet. Although, breathing with it in place did let loose a few soft, almost unnoticeable trills.
She was going to wait.Β .Β . and wait.Β .Β . and wait until he looked to be at his most annoyed, thenββ
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β SQUEAK!!
She blew as hard and fast as she could, the shrill sound making her own ears vibrate. Only slightly disoriented, she turned and made to run despite how pointless it might be.
Excuse her while she gushes over the cute bears
π» β @salixri
βYesββ!! Wait, does this mean you like bears too?β It was annoyingly difficult to find people that didnβt want to warn her every other second about how dangerous and wild bears were. Anita didnβt care; they were cute, and she wanted at least ten whether they be plush, animated or real.
"Anita, can you give me a bear hug. That's a hug from a bear right?"
π» β @jakcby
βNot really, but I guess it could be a literal thing seeinβ as how I can be a bear. This is a bear hug!β Both arms wrap around the parts of Jakoby that she can reach. Tight as she can, she squeezed the fishman in a hug that lasted for one, solid moment. She knew there wasnβt much hard she could do to him in her human form, but she wasnβt looking to crush him were it even possible.
