After being introduced to Prince Arslan, Shagad wished   to assist his relative, Narsus and gain back Pars from   the wrong-doers, those who spread blood and eradicated   many.

Called forth upon, feet strode their way towards his chamber’s,   only a day until departure again. The gathering of soldier’s   and conquest of overcoming the enemies to come, battle   was definitely upon them! Soon.

“You have called for me, Prince Arslan?”

❛   ah , so you have arrived ,  shaghad!!   it is my hope that i have not disturbed your rest in the process of my summons.   if so , i must impart to you a humble apology   .

〖〗  the encroaching clatter of ligneous doors crafted a posture of behavioral largesse from the prince.   rising from his throne to accommodate a subservient fellow , investing breath in spoken penitence ,  rather than cede his liberties to division between their classes.   such was hardly convention for those who shielded themselves from the impoverished or intermediate , or those who indulged unstintingly in their gold-trimmed raiments & other palatial accoutrements!!   but the fine youth could resolve to commit nary an intelligible wit to a lordly assortment of propriety   .

abruptness aside , you arrived here quickly-----   i believe we will have plenty of time to discuss our affairs.   but first , i wish to inquire of your opinion on the internal affairs signature to gilan.   that is , as a well-established merchant situated within its quarters   .   ❜

❛   during your stay in a foreign country , in pars , is there anything you wish to do   ?

〖  the question was piped aloud in profound tone , keen on its recipient’s answer.   war-based suppositions never straggled too far from his mind at any hour of the day , but the prince could not help lingering briefly on irenic , hostly graces.   thoughts that burgeoned forth through an amalgam of personal munificence & esteem for meliodas.   though the britannian was a proponent to his cause , toiling away in the parsian ranks   ...   he also remained arslan’s foreign guest throughout his occupation   !!

❛   actually , my apologies   ...   i am aware of the morbidity behind such a question , meliodas.   pars is currently at war and all , with lengthy council meetings and training regimes that allow us scarce time for recreation.   but-----   perhaps , after the war-----   ❜

〖〗   incarcerated within the shared dominion of tedious passage , the chafe derived from their saddles—–   fatigue & hunger weighed down the most hardened travelers amidst them.   upon that significant account , the youngest affiliate to their detachment should have suffered the most   …   to an extent that might have drawn his lips closed , bowed his silvery head in drooping exhaustion.   instead , with bright expression retained , the boy leaned over to the knight beside him & extended a dried fruit provision kindly to her hand   .

❛    it’s not much , i’m afraid—–   the lavish feasts prepared at ecbatana must surely be more to your tastes , just as they are to mine!!   but let us make do with these for now.   they will suffice for tiding us over until our return to the citadel   .   ❜

❛   i do not know the exact conduct you displayed   ...   but , daryun is a compliant man , despite the illusion of temper he might betray at times.   which leads me to ask-----   er , what exactly transpired for you to anger him so   ??

〖〗   even the prince’s ears had snagged hold of untamed hearsay spiraling away from discretion.   how inordinately the grapevine must have been choked to near-death by their resident canards!!   such awareness was reason for concern not just unto reigning supervisors , but also for arslan himself.   the boy did not wish to see repercussions undeserved arrive unto a fellow youth , not by any means.   especially not through dint of a black-tempered , fearsomely injurious parsian knight   .

What’s this? A cute child? He’s not a future child, after all he does not share any similarities with any of the Shepherds and only one person in the army has that hair color. But there appears to be something special about him.

“Hey, kid! What are you doing here? This is the Shepherds’ Garrison, are you looking for someone?”

❛   the shepherds’   ...   garrison??   ah , so this here is such a place!!

〖〗   eyes glistering shrewdly with this admission , the princeling cocked his head & allowed his attention to glaze over his surroundings.   various military munitions strewn about , an all-encompassing lack of extravagant paraphernalia , clamor from the engrossed traffic between ylissean soldiers   ...   the locale before him was not apparently different from his own war camp.   that said ,  the prince returned in his deliberation unto the presumable shepherd who approached him   .

❛   forgive me for my intrusion.   the noise here could be heard a farsang out , you see.   even from within the confines of my pavilion , this garrison piqued my errant interests.   i wished to see it for myself , in short   !!

Legit jumps out of a window three stories up the second she sees Denka and lands in front of him like a (kinda) graceful cat, "Prince, how are ya t'day?"

〖〗   sensational exploits like thus observed were displaced from aberration for arslan.   their recurrent caliber incited a feathery dome to arise , delivering a smile suspended above airs of repose.   when the boy advanced to consummate approach , his scholarly precepts revealed a weathered , arabesque scroll in equip.   papyrus edges crackled fondly , revered by solemn pedants of days past & now by one so bright-eyed with novelty.   eager to extract its wisdom in cande-lit cycles anew , particularly by this woman’s company   .

❛   how good of you to come , li!!   i was searching for you after morning repast.   there is a scroll i have been reading about the sindhuran culture—–   i thought you might like to examine its contents alongside me   .

❛   oh but yes , as of today i am faring quite well.   of course , you ask me this question upon every encounter , and i must return to you the same contented answer with each repetition   !!

Epics from the EastShahnameh
Shahnameh, or The Epics of Kings, is considered to be one of the greatest pieces of Persian literature. It was composed by the great Abol-Qasem Ferdowsi. This masterpiece tells of the history of the region known as Persia. It is divided into three main parts, the first of which tells of the mythological creation of Persia and the rule of kings such as Jamshed, the evil Serpent King Zahhak and then Fereydun and his sons. The second part is most popular due to the tale of Rostam and Sohrab. It traces the story of Prince Zal, who was abandoned by his father for being white-haired and so raised by the mythical Simurgh, his son Rostam, a warrior of legendary strength, and ends with the tragic death of Sohrab, unknowingly at the hands of his father. The third part deals with famous historical empires and kings such as Darius, Esfandiyar, Siyavush and Bahram Gur. It ends with the Arab Islamic conquest of Persia in the 7th century. Shahnameh has been named as the national  epic of Iran.
