Hello all! Sorry that your Librarian hasn't been around lately!

Been having computer issues the last few weeks.  I know I was supposed to post an event and I'm going to do that -- working on it right now! 

My laptop decided to go all wonky on Christmas Day -- Merry Christmas to ME! 

Anyhow, my laptop still isn't fixed for a variety of reasons, and I'll probably end up having to get a new one and have to work on a half-broken one till then and it's a major aggravation for me but . . . . I'm just gonna suck it up and do that cause y'all are good people and you've waited patiently and all that stuff. 

Anyhow, I'll be catching up soon, I promise! 

No, I have NOT forgotten about the Library's EVENT this winter!!!

I have just been busy with RSS, NaNoWriMo, and life in general.  But time to get back to business! 

Over the summer, we had the Rumbelle Summer Reading Club, wherein our readers recommended multi-chapter, COMPLETED fics for our reading enjoyment. 

For THIS event, it will be the opposite.  Readers will submit for recommendation their favorite Rumbelle ONE SHOTS or SHORT fics.

The requirements for submission are simple:

1)  The submission must be either a one shot or a short ficlet with a MAXIMUM of four chapters.  Five chapters or more should be for the Summer Reading Club, NOT this event. 

2)  The submission MUST be Rumbelle or Anyelle centric.

3)  The submission CANNOT be part of a series.  There are many one-shots that are part of a series, but this event is limited to stand alone works. 

4)  You do NOT have to be the author of the work you are recommending for this event, nor do you need the permission of the author to submit their work for this event.  In fact — it’s encouraged that you NOT be the author.  This event will be much more fun if it is all about recommendations. 

5)  For this event, Anon submissions will NOT be accepted.  I am going to be crediting the recommender when posting these works, and I need to know who you are!  (If multiple people submit a work, they will ALL be credited with recommending it.)

I know we all have our favorite one-shots and ficlets out there!  I know that many PREFER these to multi-chapter works.

So …….. here is your chance to shine a spotlight on those that you think deserve attention!  Send me the recommendations for your favorite one shots and short ficlets.  There is no limit how many you send, but you MUST include a link, rating, and summary.  Please use the submit button and follow the template within:

I am changing the format because I haven't gotten many submissions yet (come ON Rumbellers, get me your faves -- if EVERYONE that follows this page submits just ONE fic rec we would potentially have 1,221 fics to peruse during the break!  Only 14 have been submitted so far and there are WAY more out there than that!).

On Monday, December 29 I will post the archive of the fics that have been submitted, which will remain up until Friday, February 27th, and will CONTINUE to add to them if more are submitted!  That’s TWO FULL MONTHS to enjoy some short fics and help us get through the hiatus.

Confession:  I was doing NaNoWriMo in November.  First time I ever did it, and OMG, was it HARD!!!!

Yesterday was actually the six-month anniversary of the opening of the Rumbelle Library!  I cannot thank you enough for all of your support, and I'm truly humbled and amazed that we've reached this number in such a short amount of time!  I have an announcement forthcoming in just a moment that I'm sure you will all enjoy!  You are all wonderful!
