Our mission at Century Guild is to guide people through the strangest and most obscure alleys of art history, and we are very excited to present rare and macabre artworks to the crowd at the Oddities Flea Market in Los Angeles next month!

This year we're bringing three new t-shirts to the market, each featuring thrilling and timeless work by brilliant artists from 1895-1920. Even if you won't be at the LA event, you can order your favorite t-shirt designs by pledging on this special 14-day Kickstarter project!

The images on these three shirts were taken from original artworks in our archive, and as a result the designs and finished garments are of the highest quality. All of our t-shirts are high quality, soft feel, and tagless, with the Century Guild Museum of Art logo screened inside the collar.

  • The Vampire Bat, based on an artwork by Russian artist Sergei Lodygin (1917)
  • The Owl on Skull and Book, an Art Nouveau vanitas illustration by Bertold Löffler (1899)
  • The Laughing Jester Skull, a macabre illustration by Rolf Winkler (1919)

We are printing a limited run of each design, and at the market the shirts will be sold on a first come, first served basis until we sell out. By pre-ordering your shirt, you're guaranteed to get the design you want in the size you specify!

All of the orders will ship out on Monday, May 20th - if you are attending the Oddities Flea Market in Los Angeles May 18-19, let us know and you can pick your shirts up at the event!

One of the great parts of making @aurorathefilm was working with the incredible and talented @photopalacebus as he made authentic tintype photos of the cast and crew. The work that goes into creating one single tintype photo is a very exact and intense process. When we asked Anton if he could work on location in an abandoned western town and also repeat the creation process hundreds of times, we didn’t know if it was possible - lucky for us, he was more than up for the challenge!
