whenever butch lesbians wear ties we spend the entire time thinking about how hot it would be for a girl to grab it firmly and yank us into a long kiss. frankly its kind of distracting but we can't help it its like a disease
That’s not quite true. The reporter behind the story, Daphne Caruana Galizia, was murdered.
- After mass protests, the Prime Minister of Iceland was forced to resign, along with many other members of the ruling party.
- After mass protests, the President of Pakistan was forced to resign, along with many other members of the ruling party.
- Worldwide, hundreds of people – many rich and powerful – were arrested.
- Billions in stolen assets were returned to the people.
- And 82 countries changed their laws to crack down on the wealth hoarding the papers revealed.
To say the Panama Papers accomplished nothing is an insult to Daphne Galizia’s memory. Her work, and the work of the hundreds of other journalists who contributed to the Papers, changed the world.
Disinformation like this is designed to discourage you, to make you feel you’re powerless against the monsters of the world. They want you to feel that way, because they are terrified of your power to make change.
Take your power back. Demand better. Keep fighting for a better world, because a better world is possible.
Gentle PSA from your friendly neighbourhood librarian
It's been a while since I've said this, but I had a case of this happen earlier today so clearly this is a message that needs to be said:
*ahem*
Librarians won't judge you about your information needs.
Our job is to connect you to the information you want/need, not to judge.
No matter how strange, kinky, salacious, random, personal, morbid, or embarrassing you think your question is, I guarantee you that your librarian has heard worse.
Librarians are the OG search engine. Think of all the kinds of stuff people type into google. All that stuff that you thought of? We get asked about it all.
I think at least one element of much ado about nothing as well as pride and prejudice that most modern day stories inspired by them miss is the absolute batshit web of interpersonal drama. If diagramming out the plot of the story doesn't make you look like the pepe silvia meme then it simply is not going to Hit the same

gonna do my best to have a great monday because my ancestors* would like me to be ok today
*my mom wished me to have a good day and I believe her
it's been days since this, the smallest of the posts, and I still don't understand it
in the first episode of the original star trek series spock says "one of my ancestors married a human female" and later in the show we find out that said ancestor is in fact his dad who married his mom who is human
Trash Squad [Inspired by Vine and James Dean].

need y'all to know that most academics have publicly searchable email addresses and this not only makes their day but they can put nice emails in their giant packets for applying for jobs or tenure. "hi i read your paper for a class and it was very helpful, im at xyz college and the class is blah with professor blah" is sufficient and ENORMOUSLY helpful
#accidentally having feelings about this again #something about how in the first elevator scene eliot and hardison both sorta briefly check the other’s looking away too #respect that is partly social/performative and no less respectful for it #especially the second time #but here it doesn’t bother parker so it doesn’t bother him #the trust of standing very close to someone and not even expecting them to look away
#like. fuck. it’s almost a metaphor. standing very close and seeing the awful parts of each other #not looking any closer and not looking away but both of them knowing it’s there #that gorgeous jaeger ficlet about these two not treading on each other’s toes #no thoughts just vibes but I love it [tags mine]
yeah they dropped a new love language. yeah a sixth one. its biting
Hey Dad it's very important to me to know the distinction: Crowley goes 90 MILES per hour or 90 KILOS per hour? Because I see a lot of mph descriptions out there. If it is 90 mph, is that a you decision? Follow-up question: if it is a you decision, did TP object or just go along with it like having Aziraphale say fuck?
He goes at 90 mph because all the speeds in London are measured in miles per hour.
From another time the mph vs kph has been asked.
extremely loud incorrect buzzer and im just sitting there

I bet Mat Cauthon would absolutely love DnD. It combines his loves of planning things out, gambling, and improvisation.
Plus, ya know, the aspect of it that's ROLLING DICE.
