ok, so I know that riffs on Catholic iconography with non-Catholic subject matter are extremely old news at this point, but my dad got me a print from this series of oil paintings by Linda Infante Lyons, an Alutiiq (native Alaskan) artist who was raised Catholic in Kodiak, AK, and I’m kind of inclined to think that they rule??? I have the bear one, but I can’t say it was an easy choice.

agatha agate has a little spot on the top of her head where her fur is white and it’s very thin and the pink of her skin is a little bit visible all the time. turns out she can get sunburnt there
