No kill shelters result in animals dumped on the highway and tossed in the river because the rescues wont take them. That’s the part they never tell you.

Meanwhile the spca will take every animal, and if they have to euthanize them at least it will be done kindly and not via neglect or cruelty.

To springboard off of this, the idea the ‘mutt’ you’re getting from a shelter will have less health problems than a full breed dog from a breeder isn’t true either. In my area the shelters are FULL of puppy mill rejects. So many people go into adopting from a shelter with the idea the dog they’re getting is better than one from a breeder and then are shocked when it ends up with a lot of health issues (due to the horrific breeding practices of puppy mills and the extent of inbreeding that happens at them)

Puppy mills love it because they no longer have to worry about selling the least desirable of a litter and don’t have to dispose of them the old fashion way.

I’m not saying don’t adopt from a shelter but also don’t assume anything about a dog who’s history is unknown.

Map of the United States but now each state touches the ocean

All states can have a little sip of ocean water. As a treat.

hm. kentucky beach. tidewater, kentucky. norfolk, kentucky, home to the largest US navy installation on the east coast.

the picturesque outerbanks of tennessee.

the big apple: new york city, michigan.

Make one where the fewest possible states can access the ocean.

Although judging from the article Joss Whedon was apparently due to write the script, so like the potential Whedon Wonder Woman movie from around that period, probably dodged a bullet there also.

Bluth was also apparently going to make a Beauty and the Beast adaptation back in the 1980s, only for that not to go anywhere either.

Yeah I started out heartbroken we never got a Don Bluth animated Dracula movie but then I saw the name Joss Whedon and was like “Okay maybe it’s for the best…”

“Northern firms leverage monopsony and monopoly power to depress Southern suppliers’ prices while setting final prices artificially high. Patents play a key role here: 97% of all patents are held by corporations in high-income countries. We can see how this plays out in the case of major products like iPhones. The iPhone is produced almost entirely in the global South, by arms-length suppliers. Apple, headquartered in the North, forces its suppliers to compete to drive prices down to cost, with wages depressed to the level of subsistence. This allows Apple to obtain the iPhone for cheap, and then, leveraging its patent monopoly (a privilege granted and enforced not by the market but by the state), mark up the final price by over 100%. In some cases, patents involve forcing people in the South to pay for access to resources they might otherwise have obtained much more affordably, or even for free.”

Wake up babes a new mineral dropped!

(SOURCE) (mindat page) Oldsite is a uranium sulfate mineral that dissolves in water. It's full formula is K2Fe[(UO2)(SO4)2]2(H2O)8 and it is very similar to Svornostite - which has magnesium instead of iron. Oldsite is likely formed by the post mining weathering of uraninite (UO2) and by understanding the formation of oldsite, we can better understand how to keep uranium out of drinking water (a bigger problem than you might imagine) and how to better remove it from the earth.

I'm watching Pingu right now and wow how did I forget that Pingu once tried to recreate the Tower of Babel.

Would love to hear the Vatican's opinions on this.

they are animals, and thus free of sin. In fact, doctrinally, animals give glory to God merely by existing so. Pingu’s fine

But by creating a tower tall enough to reach God's kingdom, would they achieve sin?

"At one famous trial in Autun, France, in 1522, some rats were charged with feloniously eating and wantonly destroying the province's barley crop and so were ordered to appear in court. “ if rats can commit crimes, penguins can sin

That’s French courts though. France is a perversion of every law, moral, or truth known to man or heaven.

“I was horrified to see it all happen, it was a terrible turn of events,” said Hedges, who took to visiting the plant and photographing the new data center as it took shape, fans perched on its roof to help cool the humming computer hardware. “This isn’t helping old ladies from freezing to death, it’s to enrich a few people while destroying our climate for all of us. If you’re concerned about climate change you should have nothing to do with cryptocurrency, it’s a disaster for the climate.”
“Coal and natural gas power plants used for crypto mining that would otherwise be sunsetting as we decarbonize adds yet more carbon to the atmosphere in an era when we should be cutting such emissions,” said Benjamin Jones, a specialist in natural resource economics at the University of New Mexico. “Crypto’s continued or expanding use of fossil fuel sourced electricity imposes significant environmental economic costs on society.”
