Went the cutest coffee shop to console myself for the Berkeley Law rejection & ended up finishing a whole week of work
💘 Feb 1, 2024
a new month is here so I wanted to give some summaries for last month :) I do love data
above are the books I finished reading this month* and my receiptify summary of my top 10 songs this month! all but 3 are from the HTTYD soundtrack 🤭 (*finished, but not necessarily started this month)
and here are my summaries for studying and reading! I'm surprised I spent less time on stats homework than reading, but I'm not mad about it :)
no goals for this month, just to keep keeping on and doing my best 🌷🪻☀️
It's only the first week and it's already almost too overwhelming, but I got this. I really need to learn how to time manage.

- Went to my cardiologist
- Re wrote Chemistry lecture notes
- Worked through Chemistry practice problems

What a magical day! It felt like spring was here already. I feel very grateful to have the student life I have now. Despite of the stress of my physics project and seemingly pointless job applications, my friends at uni really help me to feel balanced. I went to a bookstore in town and picked up a book as a birthday present for a friend.
I realized that, in the chaos with my illness and everything else, I accidentally skipped my favorite part of the writing process. after reading through my sources several times, following a different logic each time, I like to draw up a long list of random observations in no particular order. since I already have some kind of framework for the subchapter, arranging them will be a bit easier, but, at the same time, the nature of these observations will also shape the subchapter's logic. so, with that, the writer's block is (probably) sorted out, and now I can finally make substantial progress.
☕️ Don't you just love cozy cafes?
First two weeks this second semester is crazy. I'm not joking. Had to do a lot of work for research, psych, and med-surg. There would be times where I felt so exhausted, I'd sleep at around 8:30 without brushing my teeth. Yikes! Hoping this week would be better.
Also, the matcha latte was ok taste wise. The gyudon was great! Hope it had more meat though 😌
Unexpectedly, I’m back and doing more reading and coffee drinking than ever! It’s been a while since I posted on here, the final couple terms of my undergraduate moved away from the traditional studying format. But I have somehow found myself starting a Masters, so the cafe and study session energy has returned in full force.
7 AM study + breakfast before my intro to nursing class
sunday, january 21st, 2024 | 6/100 days of productivity
the weekend always goes by way too fast 😅 I had a nice day, though!
today's productivity:
- did some chores
- set up my planner for next week
today's self-care:
- read part of a chapter in Saving Time by Jenny Odell and caught up on transferring some of my annotations into my commonplace book
- spent some time on hobbies!
