“Ooh hello, what are you~?” the monster commented with a grin as he took the tiny pearl with a careful claw, staring at it greedily. “You are going right up here.”

With that, he put the pearl on top of the ever-growing stash of treasure stuck to his shell.

The girl takes out the pretty golden necklace and places it in his claw. “Can I have my hug now?”

“Yeah, yeah, fine.” he replies disinterestedly, taking the necklace and throwing it onto his back to join with the other sparkling treasures there. 

He then reaches his claw down again, for her to hug this time. She hadn’t been expecting to be able to hug his entirety, had she?
