Searching for Gravity Falls

@defying-gravityfalls / defying-gravityfalls.tumblr.com

If you’ve ever taken a road trip through the pacific northwest, you’ve probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It’s not on any maps, and most people have never heard of it. Some people think it’s a myth. But if you’re curious, don't wait. Take a trip. Find it. It's out there somewehere in the woods, waiting.

Tweet link. (Beware: this video of the book has flashing lights and glitching graphics.)

Did you miss him? Admit it, you missed him.

The demon that terrorized Gravity Falls is back from the great beyond to finally tell his side of the story in The Book of Bill, written by none other than Bill Cipher himself.

Inside, Bill sheds light on his bizarre origins, his sinister effects on human history, the Pines family’s most embarrassing secrets, and the key to overthrowing the world (laid out in a handy step-by-step guide). This chaotic and beautifully illustrated tome contains baffling riddles, uncrackable ciphers, lost Journal 3 pages, ways to cheat death, the meaning of life, and a whole chapter on Silly Straws. But most importantly, The Book of Bill is deeply, deeply cursed.

Beware: This book travels to dimensions meant for older readers.

Alex Hirsch, #1 New York Times bestselling author, resuscitates this infamous villain and invites fans to a Bill’s eye view of the Gravity Falls universe. There are many who believe this book is too dangerous for human hands. But if you can’t resist, beware: Once you make a deal with Bill, it’s not so easily undone . . .

Here we are, 10 years later

Hey folks. It's been a while. I really wanted to have something to post in time for the anniversary but I've gotten held up and was unable to make anything in time for the date. We are however on 618 today! So I'll take what I can get lol.

You may have noticed this account has been pretty barren the last couple years, and it's not hard to guess that is because I had moved on, I have fallen into other hyperfixations, and I'm also an adult now with more responsibilities than I had when I was running this account as a teenager. I almost have some sort of guilt from leaving this behind and even wonder if anyone still cares about what's on here, which is part of the reason I haven't posted much. But I'm feeling nostalgic and I want to talk about Gravity Falls and this is the perfect place to do it! So I thought I'd give you all an update on what I have going on and how I've circled back here.

Disney Channel Japan is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary by airing tons of cartoon shows and movies including Gravity Falls! Guess who wanted to be a part of it?

Special thanks to the Kaiki Zone Project for obtaining the clip. Be sure to check out their tumblr for more information on the great work they are doing!

[holding back tears] The final song I wrote for Gravity Falls. It didn’t get used, but use your imagination!

Alex contacted me during production of Weirdmageddon Pt I because he wanted Bill Cipher to have a big musical number. I recorded the demo (with temporary lyrics, since I wasn’t sure what could be animated.)

It would’ve been fun to force Alex to sing this, but sadly it never got to that stage, as these things go. Here are the lyrics:

So, I got a chance to watch Disney Channel’s new Broekn Karaoke video a day early. It’s a parody of Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe, sung by the legend herself, Mabel Pines!!

And yes, they got Kristen Schaal back to reprise Mabel for this. It’s honestly amazing. There’s new animation and everything! It’s really better than expected! The official video will be out tomorrow on Disney Channel’s YT channel.
