We have 47 amazing and talented artists ready to collaborate, which means we need 47 writers! If you’re interested, you can check out their WIPs here!

Hey hey hey welcome to artist sign-ups for the Kaishin Big Bang event!

Artist sign-ups are open from now until APRIL 23!

Remind me, what is a bang?

A bang is a type of fan challenge in which writers and artists work together to produce new collaborative content for the fandom.

In a reverse bang, the artist signs up first and creates a sketch, and the writer claims the person they want to write for based on the sketch and summary the artists provide.

This year the theme is AU/UA. It is completely optional!

Who can join?

The event is open to artists of all abilities in any stage of their fandom journey –  a fun opportunity for Kaishin shippers to come together and celebrate the relationship between Kudou Shinichi and Kuroba Kaito in all its variations.

What are the artist requirements?

There is no maximum limit, but all works should be finished and polished by the final deadline (schedule here).

Kaishinbigbang 2024 Theme Announcement is here!

Hey everyone! The time to get your votes in has come and gone! It’s time to announce the results!

The theme is: AU or UA!

Out of 125 responses, 17.6% of you voted for AU/UA and 36% of you voted for an open AU/UA theme. 

For those of you who might not know what AU or UA are or the difference between them:

As always, the theme is optional, so you can choose to run with it or totally discard it! Whatever you decide, it’ll definitely be interesting!

Hey guys! My name is Mac and i’m going to be your host for this adventure!

We are officially just a week out from the start of theme voting (!!!), so here’s some important information regarding this event!

So, what is a bang?

2022 Kaishin Big Bang is officially over! 

I first wanted to quickly congratulate all participants for making it to the end of this long and arduous event. I hope you all had fun despite the stress, and I hope everyone else continues to enjoy the content that the participants created!

I want to thank @jodaneko, who is the graphics-maker for this year’s event as well as the graphics-maker for @dcmkkaishinevents. The graphics never disappoint and I would have so much more work on my hands if not for them!

Regarding the 2023 KSBB event, please keep an eye out here for updates. I will be preparing to move home during the time the event is normally held, so while it will not happen in 2023, it may make a 2024 comeback. In the meantime I will still be hosting events over at @dcmkkaishinevents!

Come Join Us for the KSBB22 Comment Party!

The KSBB22 comment party will take place on AUGUST 17-20 this year.

The goal of the comment party is to comment on, reblog, like, retweet, etc as many works as we can in that time! It’s a great way to show our appreciation for the hard work and talent that these participants have put into their projects for us to consume! And it’s fun!

You can find the works from the 2022 round in the tag and in the ao3 collection. And, if you’re feeling extra, there’s also the rounds from 2019, 2020, and 2021!

Shinichi doesn't really think he can call being trapped in a robotic body living, but it's better than letting anyone realize what he's done to himself. When the Kaitou KID asks for Shinichi's help in tracking down a rogue android, it's either going to be a total disaster or the chance Shinichi needs to find some meaning in this half-life he's been given.

He looked Kudo right in the eyes, didn’t flinch or hide away from his piercing, cold gaze, leaned into it even, until blue was all he could see, Kudo’s cool forehead resting against his own, could feel Kudo’s breath against his lips and even he was susceptible to temptation, the temptation to linger in this moment as long as he was impossibly allowed. “You will get out of here alive,” Kaito promised. “Anywhere I make my appearance is my stage. And nobody dies on my stage. You will live to see your life without the Organization in it. I swear to you.” OR: Kaito breaks a promise, and he will gladly self-destruct to remedy this.
