Thank you for all your thoughts on workshops/talks, I've taken it all down and will be chipping away at creating a workable format over the next few months :)

Almost done!

I get asked about doing workshops a lot, but so far haven't gone for it as I worry that people wouldn't get what they anticipated - I work in a very intuitive manner rather than a clear step by step process, and rely a lot on my previous experience painting and drawing, so it wouldn't be a case of teaching you a stitch and supplying a pattern. But I've had a couple of people tell me I'm completely overestimating people's expectations, so I'd love to hear your opinions - what would you expect from a workshop with me, would you be hoping to get an entire embroidery finished, and how close to my own work would you expect it to be? Any thoughts you have on this subject would be great to hear, I dream of coming up with a well structured and interesting workshop eventually!

Started this guy today, inspired by a quote in one of my favourite books.

'"I remember a story I read once, a soldier, was it at Shiloh?" He was talking to me but it with his whole attention. "Gettysburg? A soldier so mad with shock that he started burying birds and squirrels on the battlefield. You had a lot of things killed too, in the crossfire, little animals. Many tiny graves."' -
