Announcing DCMKEmoti Prompts!

Hello everyone!

I had a lot of fun making up the prompts for DCMKEmogust this year! And so, have been thinking of continuing to post one or two prompts for each month onwards. They will be in the same style as the prompt for the event and will be posted on the 1st of every month. Starting with a little themed one for October. You will have until the end of the month to do one or two or however many of the prompts you would like! Let me know what you think!

P.s. I have been calling these prompts "DCMKEmoti prompts" in my head. My naming skills are a bit lacking, so let me know if you can come up with a better name for them >v< Also, should I create a new blog for these prompts or continue to post on this blog? Thanks!

Intended Genre: sadness and fluff.

I had another idea for this prompt originally, but it was just vibes so I didn't know how to continue it. And then a few days ago at work I witnessed a sad and sweet scene.

For some context. I work at an ice cream stand in my city, scooping ice cream to the summer happy masses. And since our season is slowly coming to an end we are running low on the more popular flavours.

Anyway, I turned the little scene into a little fic scene with our resident detective of the east and phantom thief boys.

Shinichi had found an ice cream stand in downtown Beika. It was strategically placed at a plaza where many people came by every day. It had no wheels but it was a temporary establishment that flocked the masses over the summer months. A box shaped stand that interestingly enough had a roof that could lift at the turn of a key.

He had gotten a tip from Takagi-keiji that they had some of the best ice creams he had tasted and it was so worth the little extra money it cost. So naturally Shinichi got intrigued.

Last day of DCMKEmogust2021.  This one I would definitely rate mature, and I feel like it deserves some warnings but I’m not sure what warnings should apply so I’ll just say viewer discretion is advised. It is told in second person POV where you are the criminal though. I guess the best emotion to describe it would be possibly be horror, but if we’re going with standard genres then it’s a thriller. I know I’m a whole two weeks late (classes started and travel made it difficult to continue) but this one was supposed to be fluff, but I’m not sure how fluffy it turned out. The girls were sitting down for a lunch out. Their lives had been a little hectic of late, Ran with tournament that had just finished and the practice for that; Masumi had been assisting on a case with Heiji from sheer coincidence of being in the same place at the same time—coincidences seemed to happen a little too frequently in the now college detectives’ lives; and Sonoko…. Okay Sonoko hadn’t been as busy, but her boyfriend had been. And somehow that’s where the conversation was turning after they had all met back up again.

“How’s Makoto doing?” Ran had meant it courteously, really a simple question but she didn’t know what Makoto had just done.

“He just picked up another job!” Sonoko burst out. At the beginning of meeting up she had decided she wouldn’t mention anything unless asked, but here she was, being asked, and she couldn’t restrain herself.
