Hey there! Sorry for the late response as I don’t use Tumblr that often. I’ve always loved acting. My parents got me into a kids talent agency when I was very young (about 6 years old) I landed a few on-camera commercials and a small short film. Back then I also did print work and was featured in magazines for clothing, hairstyles, etc. Being so young I didn’t really understand what was going on or what I was doing. All I wanted to do was play with my friends haha. At that young of an age I didn’t really enjoy all of that so my parents thought it would be for the best if I just had a normal life.Later on I decided to pursue acting again because I had always thought about what would have happened if I had actually landed one of the big roles I auditioned for. At this point though, I had realized just how competitive the industry really was. It was so hard for me to get anything. I was going to audition after audition and landing nothing.While all of that was going on, my cousin introduced me to voice acting. It was so weird to me as I never really thought about the actual people voicing behind a character. I decided to look up some of these people and I saw that most of them look nothing like the character they play! That was really inspiring to me. I started practicing my voice acting skills online. I also started taking classes and looking for people to teach me more about the voice over industry. As I was taking these classes I networked with every single person I met. Ultimately, that’s what ended up getting me called in to do additional voices for several anime titles.I’ve always loved anime as I grew up watching it on Toonami back in the day! I had been going to Anime Expo for a few years at this point. I heard Bang Zoom! Entertainment was doing auditions there and I really wanted to get my foot in the door. I auditioned with hundreds of people and I ended up winning their competition as well as a role in Magi: The Kingdom of Magic. Since then everything has been up hill. I’ve had the opportunity to audition for a ton of awesome projects through Bang Zoom! and Aldnoah.Zero was one of them! I never really expected to get anything when I auditioned. I was a huge fan of the show already and I kept telling myself I wasn’t going to get it. When I was told I had gotten the role, I didn’t sleep that night! I was so excited. It’s really a dream come true to be able to voice my favorite character in a show I really enjoy watching.So... this has been a really long response to your questions... sorry! haha. I really believe that every single thing that I went through was crucial to me becoming a voice actor.
