this is deffo not the final / only poster we’re getting but I’d be satisfied even if it was! it’s quite simple but very pretty and I love the defying gravity tagline and the split between pink/glinda’s side and green/elphie’s side 🥰

Summary: After decades in hiding, Elphaba returns to Oz, determined to reunite with Glinda. Things do not go according to plan. But, then again, when do they ever?

Elphaba takes a fleeting look at herself in the mirror. Raven hair tinged silver. Crow’s feet nesting at the corners of her eyes, darkened with years of sadness. She’s not as young as she used to be– this is evident by the way her joints creak as she kneels over Fiyero’s grave and places one final rose there. The last scraps of him had rotten away years ago. Being made of leather and straw and other such organic materials, he really only had so much time left in the world. Then again, the quiet grasp of death is inevitable, whether made of flesh or straw. Broomstick in hand, Elphaba looks one final time at the little slice of life she and Fiyero had built. A little cottage, a modest garden, their own paradise far beyond Oz.  She hopes to return soon with Glinda on her arm.

“if they’ve cut the queer vibes of glinda and elphie in the film I’m going to be pissed” buddy the stage musical tried that. they tried toning them down compared to the books. it didn’t fucking work lmao. it’s still considered one of the gayest musicals ever.

they legit look like two girlfriends on a date. I promise you, the queer vibes will very much be there. the gayness of gelphie is inescapable.
