#i am haunted every day by the thought of tragen as a jedi#he would have made a damn good one#but he would have struggled a lot with the attachments part#bc he's VERY relationship oriented#his friendships with vette and jaesa(and later romance with jaesa) and relationship with his family are all SUPER important to him
okay I gotta single out these tags real quick because this is EXACTLY why Marii leaves the Jedi Order 🥺 her weakness has always been the connections she makes with people and how quickly and easily she gets attached to them. she imprints on people like a baby duck, I swear
Marii would say she falls in love easily, but she doesn't (usually) mean that in a romance sense. She just has a really big heart and wants to protect the whole galaxy with it (but she also means it in the Moulin Rouge/Nat King Cole sense of "the greatest thing you'll ever learn / is just to love and be loved in return")

we were under tornado warnings all afternoon today, to the point where kids weren't released to go home until almost 6pm (normally they get out at 4)
and my kid, who has anxiety about everything, came home completely calm. "we had a party in 2nd grade!" she said (the 2nd grade classrooms are the school's tornado shelters)
