1. You're late to the party, that stuff was days ago and bringing it up again this late is unnecessary. 2. You CAN read rules on mobile. Just go to your phones browser instead of the tumblr app and you can look at all that stuff just fine. I do it all the time. No excuses. 3. I don't have to take that from you4. I tried ignoring before and they kept coming. Sometimes making a big deal out of it is the only way to make it stop.5. I apologized for cussing already.

Yes, sorry. I shouldn’t have cussed or been so forceful.

But there are loads of other, better ways to be nice. I’m just going to explain once and for all why I don’t like these chain asks. 

1. Send a compliment - If you want to spread positivity don’t just copy and paste mindlessly. Not only does this expect the recipient to do all the work, but  can’t think of any way listing ten things like that would make me happy. Especially since I’m awful at making lists. Trying to make a list of happy things just makes me frustrated. Especially since they’d all be dumb things like video games, and compliments. Oh yeah, maybe a compliment would have been better. 

2. It’s lazy - No thought is put into a cut and paste message. A large part of any piece of positivity is the thought. The thought is what counts after all. Copying and pasting doesn’t take much of it. There isn’t even any thought put into who you send it to since you send it to the last ten people who gave you notifications. 

3. Try sending a real ask - I got really excited when I saw a notification on my inbox, between ask-veneon, and ask-a-charmeleon, I introduced two new characters yesterday. And I only got one ask between the two of them. This just lifted up my hopes to completely crush them. If you want to make me happy send me something useful.

4. It’s basically just a pyramid scheme of happiness. As well I can tell, the only part where this could make anyone happy is seeing someone reply and thinking they helped make the person happy. And that person will be happy about it once they pass it on. You get something from it once you spread it on, just like a pyramid scheme. And I’m just the guy who knows not to get involved but still has to be bothered with it.

Like, yeah spreading positivity is fine and all, but you shouldn’t need a chain meme for this anyway. I send compliments over anon all the time without them. Just do it yourself.
