Koa has dreams of becoming a writer. And for her, that means leaving her home of Maui, Hawaii, moving to LA and ghost writing a book for two twins she’s never met. The story will go like this: she’ll write the book, get her check and head back to the island to write her own books, make her own money, and help her dad keep his failing business alive. But every writer knows - no story is ever set in stone.

***beautiful cover courtesy of pao :) ***

one: the valley isle - Meet Koa Kealoha Aka, before her flight takes off to LA in pursuit of her dreams

two: character profile - Koa makes it to LA and meets her two newest characters, Ethan and Grayson Dolan. Turns out, one of them might just be the villain

three: context cluesGrayson hasn’t warmed up to anyone yet, but a late night Monty’s trip reveals more than he bargained for

four: magnanimity - Koa comes over for her first business meeting with Grayson, and just when things start to look up, he says too much

five: hoaloha - Just when Koa truly begins to question if LA is the place for her, an incident in the ocean brings things into perspective for Grayson

*This is a concept train, so feel free to send in requests of what you wanna see next!!*

Come cuddle” & “I can’t sleep, can I stay here?”

The sounds in New Jersey were a lot different than the sounds of LA. Wildlife replaced the beeping of car horns, and the first few nights it was actually a bit spooky. But you’d gotten used to it - or so you thought.

The way you jumped from a gentle tap on the door gave away that you were still a bit on edge.

“C-Come in?” Your voice made it a question, and listened carefully to hear the door open slowly.

Grayson was the one who came in, shirtless and rubbing at his eyes with the back of his hand. And even though his hair was pointing in 20 different directions, you couldn’t think of anybody more attractive.

You and Grayson were best friends, and you’d been pleasantly surprised when he asked you to come back to Jersey with him. You were hitting the stage of friendship where there was a possibility of it becoming more, and the thought excited you.

“Gray, it’s 3 in the morning, what are you doing?” You asked, but you weren’t mad in the slightest that he’d woken you up.

“Stupid fucking frogs,” he grumbles, barely audible.

“What?”

I can’t sleep, can I stay in here?” His voice was deep and gravely, and it sent tingles all through your body.

“Laundry room living getting to you? I told you you could have this room,” you teased. It was true - you’d offered the guest bedroom that was yours at the moment to him, but he assured you he didn’t want it.

“Shush and scoot over,” he grumbled, obviously groggy. You obliged, pouting a bit as you ended up on the cold side of the bed and he climbed into the coziest part of the covers.

“You took the warm spot, asshole.”

“Well, come cuddle then, asshole,” he poised, eyes still closed. You jumped on the opportunity, realizing this could very well be the turning point that makes your friendship a relationship. You eagerly moved back over to him and slotted yourself in his arms, wrapping yourself around him, basking in the warmth.

“Mmmmmm. I could get used to this.” You couldn’t see his face in the dark, but you could tell he was smirking. You traced random shapes with your finger on his chest, suddenly wide awake. He yawned, and when his body relaxed from it he rolled over, arm snaking around your waist and pulling you so your back was to his chest. You swore you felt his press a kiss into your hair, but you couldn’t be sure.

“This is better than the laundry room, yeah?”

“So much better, you have no idea.”

What are things you started/stopped doing when you became an adult?

stopped dealing with people who put no effort into me/didn’t reciprocate the love I gave them, started being more spontaneous and doing things for me instead of other people :)

I’m doing okay! I still haven’t found a job 😅 soooo at this point I’m quite literally just applying anywhere that might hire me, both here at home and in Texas, and I’m considering other cities as well. It’s frustrating, but I’ve been working as a nanny for a doctor which pays SO GOOD so i can be picky until a job that I really want opens up!
