Living Loz

Hi, I'm Loz.

I love Shawngus in four very specific ways.

1. They're both in love with each other but neither of them have realized it yet.

2. They've always been some kind of queerplatonic couple of best friends with benefit who are also in absolutely in love and dating but also not really since the start but it doesn't change anything.

3. They dated once and one of them got over it and the other didn't but neither of them ever talk about it.

4. One is in love with the other but never dared to say anything so he just has to accept he'll always be a bit hopelessly in love with the other.

(Please someone give me fic recommendation)

Been a really long time since I've watched Daredevil but I do remember coming away from it feeling like it presented a pretty compelling internally-consistent moral justification for the vigilante thing. You're not planet-crackingly powerful, it's just that you can hear, in detail, every awful thing your neighbors are doing to each other, every night that they're doing it. You can't not know and you can't pretend not to know and when the kid tells you the next day that he just fell down the stairs you can't fall back on the provided ambiguity to absolve yourself of your responsibility to act. Semi-relatedly, you're really really good at martial arts. Start the clock

me: I ship them

friend: oh like romantically?

me: no. like cursed object passed between hands for centuries, they are cosmically linked, probably bonded by blood ritual, I think they’ve fought in a war together in at least three lifetimes, and their souls make direct eye contact every time they breathe in the same room

friend: so… romantically?

me: yeah. like. with kissing.

People do not see masculinity as being as fluid and complex and nuanced as femininity and it’s annoying as hell. Because of patriarchy’s stranglehold on masculinity and radfem theory’s stranglehold on queer spaces, people really think with their whole heart that only femininity is subversive or experimental, or frankly, queer, and that masculinity is only a power grab and nothing more. Embarrassing!
