Bendy kneeled down in front of them, giving the two a gentle and patient smile.

They mewled and they continued to sob.

Bendy didn’t understand why they were sobbing so much, it made want to just burst into tears and cry with them. He could feel the hot tears welling up in the corner of his eye.

“Oh come on you two, please stop crying, you’re gonna make me cry..” Bendy half-whispered. “I need to know what’s wrong, but I won’t be able to understand you if you continue to cry. Try to calm down, okay? Deep breaths.”

They breathed shakily. They wanted to calm down, but they were having difficulties doing so.

“Its alright, you’re okay now. Nothing bad is going to happen while I’m here, I promise you. Take a deep breath in, and out.” Bendy tried to soothe the little ones.

They slowly started to calm down, staying close to Bendy.

Bendy smiled, glad that they were finally calming down. He gave them a couple of minutes to rest before he asked his question.

“So, now that you’re calm, do you two mind telling me what was wrong?”

They just mewled. It seemed that they were too young to speak English.

Bendy rubbed his chin in thought. Maybe he could teach them how to speak later, for now he would have to improvise. But how? If they couldn’t speak they probably couldn’t write either.

Suddenly, an idea struck the demon. “Well, if you can’t speak, perhaps either of you could draw me a picture of what happened?” Bendy asked.

They tilted their heads curiously at Bendy, curious as to what Bendy was saying.

Bendy sighed in defeat. Instead of trying to investigate further, he decided to make some food.

“Are you guys hungry?” He pointed to his mouth as he spoke, hoping they would get what he was implying.

“Ahh.”, They babbled. It seemed that they were very young ink demons.

"I'll take that as a yes." Bendy sighed. The cat-like demon headed to the kitchen, and began making something healthy, like steamed veggies.

He knew he was now in charge of two little ones, who looked a lot older then they actually were.

He was now in charge of teaching them how to speak, on top of taking care of the two.

He didn't even know where the parents were, or if they had parents to begin with. The demon had no clue where they came from, why they were crying earlier, or who used to be in charge of them.

There were so many pieces of the puzzle missing, now all Bendy had to do was find them.

“Its alright, you’re okay now. Nothing bad is going to happen while I’m here, I promise you. Take a deep breath in, and out.” Bendy tried to soothe the little ones.

They slowly started to calm down, staying close to Bendy.

Bendy smiled, glad that they were finally calming down. He gave them a couple of minutes to rest before he asked his question.

"So, now that you're calm, do you two mind telling me what was wrong?"

“Hows my friend doing?”

“I’m doing great! How have you been?”

“Great as well! I’ve missed you so much”

“I’m glad to hear you’re doing good! I’ve missed all of my friends, especially you and another friend!”

She blushes slightly and smiles “Who is this other friend? It would be amazing if we met and became friends!”

“Her name is Iris, she’s an artist and was a very close friend of mine. I’ve known her for a long time now. Though, I haven’t seen her very often lately. I mean, I was gone for quite a while.” Bendy sighs and shrugs.

“Iris….sounds familiar. Maybe she’ll be back very soon! Like a surprise!” She smiles

“I sure hope so! If she does, I’m gonna give her the biggest hug!” The demon sticks his tongue out playfully.

She whined and her tail softly “I wish someone hugged me if I was gone for so long..”

“Aww, it’s okay, I’ll hug you anyways!” Bendy smiles, showing his pointy, white teeth as he hugs you again.

She purrs and hugs him back “I love it when you hug me”

“Yay! Somebody likes my hugs!” He giggles a bit.

She giggles as well.
