amy rose is such a wonderful character, this scene was really beautiful
the peak of sonic characterization is a perfect balance between two facts:
1. sonic is the chosen hero of mobius, the harbinger of chaos, the wielder of the power of gods fated to fight the forces of evil since the day he was born
2. sonic is just some guy who showed up one day
I made my own font so I don't have to write it out every time or use any of clip studio paint's stinky google docs fonts <3
I used dialogue from this incorrect quotes generator (it fits way way too well for them oh my god)
Heads up. Someone called drewissh is following your blog. They appear to request something, love-bomb you until you do it. If you don't, they harass you, insult you, and tell you to self harm on their alt account animosityjt10. This appears to be just one person, but be ready and cautious.
Noted. Thanks!
Do ppl still use tumblr ? LMAO
What service do you use to print your books? Are there hardcover options? Thanks! You're amazing!
I hope you don’t mind that I publish this, since others might like to see as well.
These are some of the places I’ve used to print books so far. I’m not really particularly recommending any specific place, I think anyone looking to print a book should look into many places and choose what works for them. You can write and ask them if they’ll do a certain thing, since most of them don’t list their complete services (such as hardcover). These blurbs are based on my own experiences and might vary for you.
Pros: super fast, super responsive, low runs, pretty reasonable pricing, does a lot of file set up for you at no charge
Cons: doesn’t print explicit/nsfw content, print quality is good for black and white or sketch collections but not artbooks, pretty limited print selection
Books printed with them: Wreck, all SFW doodlebooks, ABCs with Ben, Red Pants doodlebook
Pros: HELLA quality (uses offset printing process vs digital) good for artbooks, good pricing (last time I used them), reasonably manufacture time, a lot of print options if you know what to ask for
Cons: very slow communications, slow shipping, printed in China (bad for local business), requires files be set up at pdf in Indesign or similar program, doesn’t print nsfw content, requires very high runs
Books printed with them: 7 Patch Problem
Pros: prints nsfw content, low runs
Cons: pricing is high, charges more for nsfw content vs normal content, slow communication and slow manufacturing, print quality is grainy even for digital
Books printed with them: NSFW Doodlebook
Pros: prints nsfw content, really good communication, they handle a lot of setup, pretty good quality, does low runs, fast manufacturing options
Cons: pricing is pretty high, some quality issues (i used a matte cover with black and so every book was very obviously scuffed in the print process)
Books printed with them: All the Days (30 day challenge collection)
Transcontinental (note, I’m only part of the way through the process with them and so this isn’t a full evaluation)
Pros: prints nsfw content, judging from other books I’ve bought from them they have really good quality, very good pricing, reasonable low runs (about 100)
Cons: fairly slow communications, difficult for someone inexperienced to understand a lot of their communications/directions, some kind of totally wack shipping cost that I’ve still negotiating with them, a lot of forms you have to fill out
Books printed with them: Banquet (Hannibal)
Here are also some other places that have been recommended to me but I haven’t used:
Print Ninja (does hardcover, foil, cheap but high run)
DocuCopies (cheap)
Hope that helps :))
what if AU where death note is just an in-universe work of fiction and all of them are just actors. i call this my coping AU LOL

I miss you elyza
I wish I knew who this was but...miss you too?? LMAO
hi i'm an artist and i do pastel art. how do you color dark skinned characters in pastel art without whitewashing them?
i get asked this a lot by many artists and i totally get it
The first thing to note down is that coloring dark skinned in a pastel way is NOT about lighting their skin but rather about lowering the saturation in their skin tone.
what i mean by this is to focus less on skin tone and more of how piercing the color is. pastel are is soft and carries a fragile color scheme. many artists who don’t know how to color dark skin usually make the mistake of coloring their characters like this:
DO NOT DO THIS^^
artists coloring dark skin like this in pastel art is the primary reason why the myth of “you can’t color dark skin in pastel art” still lies around. The problem with these color scheme above is that this happens due to the artist focusing on the fact that dark skin is brown rather than trying to put effort into getting the skin tone to fit the color scheme. The color in these drawing have skin tones that don’t match the scheme at all and stands out too much hence the easy way out to this problem for these artist is
W H I T E W A S H I N G ~
PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS WHEN DRAWING A DARK SKINNED CHARACTER!!!
Rather than whitewashing them, the solution to this problem is to lower the saturation of the skin tone to fit the scheme
GO FROM THIS:
TO THIS:
^This fits the scheme so much more better because there character is clearly brown without their skintone being saturated to the point of hurting your eyes
M o r e E x a m p l e s ~
from the colors i used on the skin tone of these two pieces the colors are around the same range of darkness
The only difference is that one is more saturated than another
Welp those are all my tips for coloring darkskin for pastel art
hope this was helpful :’0

Things I learned about making comics
- Characters don’t have to always be detailed sometimes a small blob with a speach bubble is fine too
- Small panels can contain scenary it doesn’t have to be half page all the time
- Tilted panels shapes are cool but don’t do it in every page keep it for the action/tense scenes
- Don’t over do close shots or they lose their meaning
- Try to have a full body of your character (even if small) at least every 2 pages
- Let the audience breathe, characters don’t have to be in every single panel
- Same face angle is boring but too many different camera positions are confusing find a balance
- Backgrounds first, characters later
- Color backgrounds one page at a time but color objects all at once through all the comic (all the faces then all the air and so on)
- The closer the object the thicker the lineart
- THUMBNAILS THUMBNAILS THUMBNAILS
- Write down your text near those thumbnails you won’t remember shit later
- ALWAYS think ahead of the space for the speach bubbles
- Give your characters a dark and a light color each so they will pop against any background
- For a fast shade fill the shadow layer set it to multiply 20/30% and erase the lighter parts
- Compare the pages one next to the other the panel lines should not touch or be too close
- 4 pages at a time the layouts should all be different
- By all means do get your characters out the frames but if you gotta do it do it all the way, a single strain of hair sticking out just looks weird.
- Don’t be scared of empty sections
- There should be a difference between the orizontal and vertical spaces between the panels
- Study other comics especially ones with good visual flow
- Everything should have a purpose and sometimes to be fun to read is enough
you cant just say you have a hack for drawing pinstripes and not tell us jude cmon
When will we get the next chapter to the story? I’ve just read it all last night and I’m in love! Need more !!
Ahh I haven’t written for this story in over a year,,,,idk if I’ll get back to it any time soon. Times are busy. Maybe if there’s enough demand I might! :)
This story is so wonderful and interesting! I just sat here and binge read until I realized the story stopped at chapter 9. It’s been a while but I really do hope you continue it one day!
This kinda makes me wanna continue it tbh....

Sonic Prime (2022)
Can we talk about how Sonic has changed his atittude towards Amy in the IDW Comics? Like...
I mean…He went from this:
To THIS since she said she loves him:
Like …
well well…
Even when her name is mentioned:
I guess…Boy you’re falling for her, huh?
