This refers to a Finnish folktale where Väinämöinen (a wizard) sings his opponent Joukahaisen into a swamp almost drowning him (Joukahaisen promised his sister as a wife for Väinämöinen in order to save himself)

Satan=Saatana is commonly used curseword in the Finnish language and used like Goddammit except more rude.

The other curse word “perkele” also means the devil, but allegedly it used to be the name of the Finnish Supreme God of thunder Ukko before the Catholic Church came here and started to associate it with the devil to demonise Finnish deities.

“To sing somebody into a swamp” (or variations of that) means a crushing victory and may have the implication of someone who thinks they’re better than they actually are challenging and losing to someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

In the folktale, Joukahainen is an arrogant young guy who thinks he’s better than the powerful ageless Väinämöinen and foolishly and rudely goes to challenge him despite his parents’ warnings, “Good is my father’s knowledge, my mother’s greater than that, my own knowledge the highest”. They have a duel of words and knowledge, but Joukahainen’s knowledge is childish and primitive and he even begins to tell bold lies about his achievements after Väinämöinen warns him to give up. Joukahainen then wants a duel with swords, “Since I seem to have no (enough) mind, I ask the mind (opinion) of my sword.” Väinämöinen isn’t intimidated and doesn’t see the point of that, causing Joukahainen to insult him and think he’s a coward. Väinämöinen is then finally fed up with him and sings a powerful spell that causes Joukahainen to get stuck in a swamp.

I think it’s a Karelian folk tale, but yeah
