RECIPE: BREAKFAST BOWL
Many of you have been asking me on Instagram what I put in my breakfast bowls and how I make them, so here’s the recipe (it doesn’t feel like a recipe, but still).
This is one of the easiest and cheapest breakfasts, and it also keeps you full for a few hours (of course depending on the size of your bowl).
First off, you can put whatever in your breakfast bowl. The main ingredients are the following:
- natural yogurt (lactose-free for me!)
- oats
Only yogurt and oats would be boring in my opinion, so I like to add some fruits, nuts, seeds, and chocolate.
For the bowl in the pictures, I used:
- a banana (this is a good way for using some overripe bananas!)
- dark chocolate (85% cocoa)
- walnuts
- a seed-mix (chia seeds, buckwheat, aronia)*
- some cinnamon
- some coconut flakes
You just mix all ingredients, and that’s it. As soon as you have mixed everything, it will not look as pretty as on the pictures, so don’t worry about it. It is supposed to be eaten anyway, and it tastes good. That’s what’s most important.
You can of course use other berries and fruits. For instance, I love strawberries! During autumn, I also prefer apples and a lot of cinnamon.
As mentioned before, you can add whatever you like. Try out some different bowls and get ready for the day with your preferences.
Let me know if you tried out a yogurt bowl and tell me what you added into it :-)
* Notes:
I used the following seed mix: Alnavit Alleskönner Bio Topping (no advertising).
Office supplies used for the pictures: Muji, MT Masking Tape (no advertising).
The book on the pictures is by Dafolo Forlag (PR-sample).
