Late night random Inscryption thought:

After thinking about it for a bit, P03 not acknowledging the player's help from the first act actually makes a lot of sense. We know that the Scrybes have been stuck in this cycle where one of them takes power over the others, to the point that all of them have their designated underling looking for a piece of the Old_Data. Taking this into account, and the way how Act 1 goes, we can assume it's the norm that the three Scrybes that are kicked out of their positions will join forces to defeat the Scrybe currently taking over the whole show.

But this also means that those alliances can't truly last. How do you remain loyal to the people you know will try to become the enemy you just defeated? So when the game is reset once again, so are any alliances that were made. Everyone goes right back to focusing on winning the race to be the next game master. The one that makes the rules. Be it because they don't want to be the ones kicked out, or because they truly believe they should be the ones in charge. So while in our perspective as players it feels like betrayal that P03 isn't even grateful for the help we provide, from his perspective (and the one from the other Scrybes) it makes complete sense! The takeover is done.

It's everyone for themselves once again.

After so many cycles of having to do this, none of them even think of allowing any loyalty towards the player to linger, regardless of how polite they are towards them. It's not personal. It's just how it is. Probably how it has always been since they became fully self-aware.

In this part, we cover the Scrybe of Magicks!

I've honestly surprised myself in how the Inscryption posts I've made so far have included a crossover. I'm not really that into crossovers (which is why I didn't make an Au or anything in either post) but these game just makes fun contained little scenarios pop into my mind I guess haha

Hey! This is the second part of assigning Pokémon to the Scrybes!

A reminder of the rules I set for myself:

1. The pokémon given should fit the aesthetic and interests of their respective Scrybes.

2. Due to the Scrybes being bosses, they will be given 1 legendary pokemon each.

3. Each Scrybe must be assigned at least one pokemon that represents their connection to the other Scrybes, because want it or not, they all do actually complement each other in what they do for the game.

4. There must be a Pokémon that represents their subordinates.

5. No more than one starter (if they get one at all).

(Also disclaimer: I haven’t played Legends so no pokémon from Hisui unfortunately)

So for the Scrybe of the Dead:

I know if I attempt to draw this, it will stay as a wip forever, so I’m just going to go ahead and write it here.

Figuring out which pokémon to give to the Scrybes because I’ve always wanted to try something like this! Lists and explanations might get a bit lengthy, since I’m not exactly giving them teams of six, more like which pokemon fit them in general. Because of that, there will be a part for each Scrybe, as a single post would be way too long.

Surprisingly, these rules didn’t narrow it down that much, haha! So without further ado, enjoy part one: The Scrybe of Beasts!

I'm not someone that usually makes AUs but dang it this game for some reason has me thinking of many ideas so screw it. AU where Blumiere does find Timpani in time and they try to find a place where they can be happy, but plot still happens even if the chaos heart isn't summoned

I'm finding that writing SPM fic is kind of tricky since there clearly has been some very advanced technology for thousands of years, but also it is heavily inspired by the castles and old European royal families aesthetic, so I'm like... Timpani is an ordinary girl from the town but... She probably has an oven? A bike? Electricity is definitely a thing and the Tribe of Darkness probably has tech developed by the Ancients aside from their magic.

Metamorphosis

A human girl afflicted by a terrible curse arrives at a peculiar town, barely hanging in there. The kind efforts of a stranger are what is able to save her, and though she loses so much in the process, she gains a lot as well.

Everything hurts.

She's been adrift for so long. 

There's no fight left in her, but she can't bring herself to care anymore. She knows… she knows there is something she is supposed to stay alive for, but she can no longer remember what it was, and she no longer has the energy to even try. All she can do is breathe in and breathe out. 

In... and out.

It feels like inhaling needles. Her throat is much too damaged, having passed through so many worlds not meant for human lungs. Filled with toxic air or in the most frightening cases, nearly no air at all. On one too many occasions now, she's been hurled inside seas, and the panic of drowning has made her pass out. Sometimes they've been dimensions much too hot or much too cold. She shivers at the thought, at the flashes of pain, always too rapid to comprehend, always too slow to pass without harming her. The instinct to try and see them coming has been long since repressed. With every new jump she shuts her eyes tightly, lest they be damaged by harsh light or fumes in the air again. And she wishes for the shift, but dreads it all the same. Wanting to get somewhere safer, but fearing going somewhere worse.

But it matters not whether she wishes it, it happens all the same. And every time she thinks she's ready for it, and every time she is wrong.

Hello! It’s been quite a while since I posted art here, huh? Well! Truth is, I have had a year long burn out, but recently I watched Mark’s LP of There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension and I have grown so fond of this game that I just had to do something for it and it gave me the motivation I needed! Of course, it probably was a bit hard on my wrist after so much time without drawing anything XD

Anyways, this game (sorry, NON-game), is charming, and funny and lighthearted and honestly, I feel like it´s perfect if you just want to have a nice time! Also it´s freaking gorgeous! I hope you guys like it! I’m really happy with how it turned out!

This is the second in my series of monster designs! 

A creature that lives in forests and has assimilated crystals as part of its body structure!

It was fun, but the lesson learned from this drawing was: make studies of crystals before actually applying them to a piece XD
