Hi! I've recently ordered half of my cosplay outfit for Flora Reinhold, do you have any tips on cosplaying and channelling a character? I'm in love with your blog btw!

((((Ohhh boy yes I have!!What you can do to get a “deeper connection“ with the character (which a lot of people already have when they decide to cosplay someone!): -Try to see the world through their eyes. Someone once told me about the “mall exercise“: go to some place that has shops, preferably by yourself, and be “silently in character“. Try to look at clothes for example and wonder if Flora would like them, or what she would think about certain things that you come across. Of course any other place works too, just wonder, “how would my character do this?“ (u dont even have to act it out, just thinking about it is already a great help, to me at least!) -Read fanfics! Even though fanfics aren't canon, they often reflect how other people think about and interpret your character, often helping you to do so, too!For getting comfortable in your roll in terms of acting as your character: -Wear your cosplay/ pieces of your cosplay around at home! Wearing my clive outfit was really uncomfortable at first, but once I got used to it, even my posture changed, adjusting to the suit jacket :0 -Watch all the material of your character again. Try to notice how they stand, how they walk, if there is something they often do with their hands! -Something more silly I like to do which I learned about in acting class, is: turn on music and move around like the character would. (I oftem do this with randall and I knocked over everything on my desk.) You can also do more silly stuff like lip-syncing famous songs in-character. It's fun and takes away the awkwardness about wearing a cosplay (which at least i experienced at first). I mean, I kind of lost my shame at the point where I ran across my town with a red cape, screaming...I hope I could help and my tips are understandable! Feel free to message me again if something is unclear! :0 ahhh and thank you by the way! And remember, there is no right or wrong when cosplaying :D)))))

Is it possible to put some background on the text to make it easier to read?

((Idk if that's possible, but maybe it helps if I use a different colour and make the font bigger? would that help? :3))
