Almost a year to the day, and Castiel is still sick. After months of blackouts and near misses, Dean has managed to find a way to quell the spells and drag Castiel back from the proverbial abyss. However, when Castiel progressively gets worse and Dean’s voice is no longer enough to keep him conscious, Dean sets out to find every faith healer in the country in the hopes that one of them might shed light on what’s happening, and how to prevent it.

One thing that Dean quickly learns about himself is that he is bad at trivia.

“Uh, Balthazar?” Dean guesses, but he can already tell from Nick’s face that he’s wrong.

“No, I’m sorry the correct answer is Gabriel.”

“Gross, you were in a porno?” Bela, at the booth right next to Gabriel, looks like she’s trying to lean so far away from him she might fall over.

“Casa Erotica 5: La Dama de Leche.”

Gabriel must notice Dean trying to unpack that with all of his two years of high school Spanish, and he holds up two hands, cupping imaginary boobs, and he waggles his fingers while he mouths the word lactation. Dean is suddenly very glad he’s only seen Casa Erotica 1 through 4.

“We only have three questions left, so if you want to go on that date, you’d better buzz in! Alright, many of you have had some intense relationships in the past, but only one of you has actually walked down the aisle. Who was previously married?”

Dean slams his hand down on the buzzer, narrowly beating out Balthazar, who glares at him haughtily.

“Um….” Now that he’s on the spot, he realizes he has no clue who it could be. He doesn’t think it’s Anna, and he’s pretty sure Bela would have said something but then again sometimes she seems like she’s got about a dozen personalities so who knows. “I’m gonna go with Gabriel.”

“Wrong again, the correct answer is Castiel.”

He doesn’t mean to, but his eyes immediately snap to Cas. He’s blushing furiously and his eyes are averted. It’s the first time Dean can remember seeking him out and not meeting his gaze.
