I feel like the third age mirkwood elves deserve some more human inspired looks. I think they deserve to have made good friends with lake town and the dale folk before them.

I honestly do not think “AI will never be as good as human creativity” is a good argument at this point. Like yes, it is true right now, but they’re just going to keep trying to prove it wrong. To me the line is, “Modern AI is built off of PLAGIARISM, UNPAID and UNDERPAID labor.” AI is a labor rights issue, not just for the people who’s labor it would replace, but for the people whose labor was STOLEN for the AI to “create” anything.

It's also an environmental issue, a water usage issue, a propaganda + misinformation issue, a privacy & exploitation issue, a sexual abuse issue, a safety issue, and more. Don't use it for anything, don't reblog or share AI-generated content, and certainly never give it your data (eg by using grammarly, replying to AI chat bots, or using programs that use AI to "show what you'd look like as [insert anything]")

Nolofinwë Week Day Seven: Elrond Sailing to Valinor

Hey, I have feelings.

I have this head cannon that as Círdan's ship carried Elrond to Valinor on the sea Vingilot sailed above in the sky. I think Eärendil guided his son home, I think he heralded his arrival to the Undying Lands. I think when Elwing saw her husband's star so low, and close, and bright she knew that finally after over 6,000 years she was going to see one of her sons again, I think Celebrian knew she was going to see her husband again.

I think Elrond and Elros and their legacies were the happy ending to The Silmarillion with all its grief.

Okay I'm done. Back to being completely normal.

On a more serious note though perhaps I'm obsessed with this because I want more sympathy for characters who externalize their problems. Fuck being a perfect victim fuck being a decent one, something horrible was done to you and it was never recognized and you will never ever get back the person you were before, you had everything taken from you and now all you're left with is anger and sharp things and you know what. You should be able to bite people about it
