I noticed today that the deadname of a client was clearly visible in their client file because it was their legal name, and flagged it for IT. I specifically flagged it as "Hey, if someone sees this and calls our client the wrong name, we'll lose them as a client." IT emailed me back immediately, and it's now invisible except on their contract with us, which the majority of us don't have direct access to, as opposed to their client file.

The reason I flagged it framing it as a loss is that what matters to most companies is money. If you can flag a bigoted practice as something that will lose customers, clients, or get them a lawsuit, that is significantly more likely to get taken care of quickly than trying to appeal to their better nature. I could have flagged it as "Hey, this is going to make our client really upset if they hear it.", which was my actual motivation for flagging it, but if I had, then it probably would have been taken care of in a few days or even weeks, not hours.

Always hit them with the profit argument for quick and decisive action.

i cant get over the king charles portrait. they made that thing to age in his place. that painting hangs in the house of a too-friendly family you find in the post apocalyptic wasteland who inexplicably has a ready supply of fresh meat. if mario jumped into that painting he wouldn't find a charming platformer he would be flayed and hanged like a medieval criminal by an unseeable force in a droning red void. that painting is a color blindness test for people who work in IT but believe in the divine right of kings. that painting is going to weep the sequel to blood. after he dies charles is gonna crawl outta that thing like sadako.

This looks like it was painted by somebody who wants him dead yesterday

Look at the butterfly at his shoulder- monarch butterflies are poisonous because they eat nothing but poisonous flowers, making them a symbol of "power" (monarchy) that is in itself a bit of an omen with this bloody-red.... well, everything.

But if we'd like to imagine a little, it is important to know that while a true monarch can be deadly, a viceroy is a non-poisonous mimic that uses the image of a more powerful relative to deter predation despite being largely inconsequential in itself.

So this work could easily be titled, if we were feeling whimsical... two butterflies.

Which would perhaps be generous, seeing as it looks like ground beef run through an AI prompter.
