I don't think I've ever seen so many people happy for someone else to win. Carlos, Max, Charles, Daniel, Fernando, and George all hurried up to him to congratulate him, and those were only the ones we saw. Personnel from other teams were walking over each other to high-five or fist-bump him. People working on the track looked at him with the biggest smiles and I don't know when was the last time we got this much chanting for a winner.
Lando Norris is beloved by all who know him and spend time with him, and I will never again take anyone on social media seriously who has a bad word to say about him

hey babe, I really so so appreciate you checking in, and so thankful to @thef1diary for flagging it up.
well the bad news is - there is still some of my (and other writerโs) work plagiarised on wattpad, which has been incredibly difficult to take down for some reason. @monzamash and I have sent in dcmas and yet the work is still up there. Iโve reported it for inappropriate content too - doesnโt seem to work.
the good news is, I think that person can be found on tumblr - @percervall has done some digging and posted about it too.
so Iโm going to approach the person nicely to ask for the work to be taken down. Please hear me out - I donโt want anyone to scold or flood them with hate. There is no need for that. Just an appeal for them to take the fic down and not do it ever again. Even in our anger, we should be kind.
Iโm really so tired of this ongoing saga against plagiarism (part one, part two), because itโs so disrespectful of our work and effort, and itโs blatant clout-chasing in an era where everyone wants validation and attention but no one wants to do any of the hard work for it.
It is so infuriating, and it always makes me never want to ever write again, because a few bad apples really ruin the experience for us.
I hope itโs okay that Iโm tagging some writers who have become friends in this fight - would love any help to take this down ๐ฅบ
I donโt think some people realise how many endless hours writers spend to publish their work and itโs infuriating when stuff like this happen. the brainstorming, writing and rewriting, massive research we go through, beta reading etc takes up hours if not days out of our lives. and itโs all for FREE.
we absolutely love, love the ones who recognise and see us but then there are these pesky ones who thinks itโs okay (DESPITE THE DISCLAIMERS AND WARNINGS) to steal our work from right beneath us. itโs not right, thatโs not okay and I donโt know why anyone would think it is?
itโs not a form of compliment but rather an insult. you donโt do that, donโt discredit our work and disrespect writers by stealing and publishing stuff onto other platforms (or any platform at all). this is insane behaviour.
