When two muns get together and decide to ship their characters there is usually a lot of communication behind it. Most of the time their characters have interacted, spark from the muses is felt on both sides, it’s discussed, and then developed. Sometimes all the development takes place on their blogs, sometimes it takes place through private conversation or skype, but most of the time it’s a mixture of both. Even if you see a ship that suddenly appears on the dash with no previous signs of it being so, do not assume development was rushed. In many cases development may be happening in private, and that’s fine! Maybe they tried it privately and, when it worked, wanted it to be a part of their blogs! Maybe they didn’t and it really was just a spur of the moment decision! So what? Who cares? If it’s making them happy, and it’s not hurting anyone, it is literally NONE of your business! The point here is that, just because you don’t see every written line of development for your own eyes, don’t assume it didn’t happen. And even if it didn’t happen, it is no one’s concern but the blogs writing the ship to begin with. Move along.

“five years is a long time to learn a language i’ll only use to speak to one person.” akaashi retorted. however, the idea had occurred to him before… but he was a perfectionist about those sorts of things. he didn’t want to half-ass it, or speak to kuroo terrible pronunciation, or poor grammar, or use the wrong word. he wanted kuroo to be impressed if he made such efforts…
“besides, by the time i learn for five years, you’ll have learnt for ten, and be ahead of me again. i won’t be able to catch up.” with a small sigh, akaashi closed his eyes and resigned himself to sleep. he was just growing comfortable with the rise and fall of kuroo’s chest when he suddenly felt that hand move… and squeeze his ass. the pressure of kuroo’s long fingers pressing into his flesh gave him a small thrill. he blushed, heart rate suddenly rising.
“i don’t know what you just said, but i’m sensing it was something stupid.” trying to ignore the other’s provocative actions, he was trying his best not to get swept up in the moment. and with kuroo purring spanish words into his ear… it would be so like him to say something silly as if they were a sweet nothing.

“Hm? Yeah but it could be our secret language! No one else would understand in this part, you know?” Kuroo rose a thin eyebrow, shifted his head to see Akaashi properly. “If you always thought like that you would never want to improve yourself. There will always be people out there better than you but that should only make you want to learn more.” He smiled and ruffled the latter’s hair. “You are better than me at a lot of things but seeing you excel at those things make me want to learn more because I see you and how amazing you are. It makes me want to be at that level too.”
After the rather long DAD rant, a loud, deep laugh escaped the cat. Kuroo pressed a kiss in to the top of the owl’s head, a chuckle being left behind as his chest continued to rise and fall rapidly. “Sorry, sorry.” Slowly, the hand left the younger boy’s rear and was laid on his lower back instead.
It was very gross what he had just said but it was funny matching together his words with the latter’s reaction. There were a few times his kid side made an appearance. Especially early in the morning.

Most importantly, if you love writing, keep writing for yourself. If you doubt yourself, then here’s my advice at this moment:
- There will always be someone who hates what you write. Keep writing anyway.
- There will always be someone who loves what you write. Keep writing for them.
- There will always be times when you hate what you write. Keep writing through those times.
- There will always be times when you love what you write. Keep writing for those times.
- Yes, listen to your audence to a point, but it really comes down to what you want. Keep on writing if it’s what you want to do.
In the end, it will always come down to you making yourself write. So don’t give up, no matter how much you doubt yourself. Everything can be fixed with the proper editing and revision. No story is perfect the first, second, or even third draft in. So keep writing.
