This is a very turbulent time for us all!
Don’t forget to check in on your inner child, or your inner voice. Let your intuition guide & prosper!
Hi Lady Diana! Out of all the articles online, only your writing on Justice vs Judgment gave me any real clarity on the matter. So I was hoping you'd explain Eight of Cups vs Six of Swords too? They seem very similar to me but of course I know Tarot wouldn't have two cards that just say the same thing. Thanks a lot my love.💛
Both of them depict the act of leaving. That is one of their only two similarities.
CUPS VS. SWORDS
One belongs to the Suit of Cups; the other, to the Suit of Swords. Cups are emotions. Swords are thoughts. Therefore, the Eight of Cups means leaving something emotionally dissatisfying. While the Six of Swords means leaving something that is mentally grueling. Filing for a divorce because you have fallen out of love with your spouse – Eight of Cups. Leaving your husband because he is abusive towards you and your children – Six of Swords.
EIGHT VS. SIX
The number 8 means infinity. The number 6 means harmony. When you constantly have an infinite supply of something, the feeling gets normalized. You are no longer excited about it or thankful for it. Instead, you get bored with it. On the other hand, harmony is something you are never desensitized to. Because harmony is peace. You instantly feel when it is missing. Selling your BMW in order to buy a Maserati – Eight of Cups. Leaving your possessive parents for a bit of independence – Six of Swords.
DEPARTING VS. ESCAPING
The man in the Eight of Cups is not hiding. Anyone can see him leaving under the full light of the moon. He is walking slowly, unbothered by anyone spotting him. His hair is uncovered. He is not masking his identity. But the woman in the Six of Swords is cloaked and crouching – afraid someone might notice her leaving. She even needs help to flee: a boat and someone to row it. Quitting a job that is not worth it – Eight of Cups. Stealing away in the night while your captor is asleep – Six of Swords.
Their other similarity? Both of them are going someplace better. They left for different reasons, but they share a destination.

my laptop: *starts hissing and wheezing and got her fans whirring on high speed*
me:
Why is this so funny to me
If you ever hear me breathe deeply it’s not because I’m annoyed it’s because I forget to breathe sometimes
Oh damn, this is super interesting. Relatable, too. From the Coping book:
*prays that I instantly become hot at 18*
*ok let’s shoot for 21*
*Let’s go for 25?*
