he  had  managed  to  calm       whatever  storm  had  been waiting  for  him,   should  he  have  destroyed  the  other’s  last  few  ounces  of  patience.        it  was  a  feet  that  surprised  his  own conscious.       briefly  his  eyes  wander  off,        before  veering  back  to  the  sight  of  his  own  hand  clasped  and  tangled  at  the  fingers  in  dean’s.          ❝     YOU  SHOULDN’T     underestimate  me .     ❞         affection  was  difficult.    it  was  the  spaces  between  cut  glass.      he  had  to  venture  around  each  jagged  cliff,     and  hope  no  blood  spilled.   trusting  himself  to  close  the  distance  with  another  step  was  the  hard  part,      and  tucking  his  nose  against  the  bridge  of  the  man’s  neck  was  the  open  space.          ❝     I  MEANT   what  i  said .        ❞

HE BESEECHES WHAT AILS HIM   to find another unholy host to plague, another string in the dust of ancient transience.

his collapsed lungs deflate with a singed mantra in the tomb of his chest, and for once, the slash of his mouth is left with no language to string.   they go back and forth between honeyed monologues and bitter soliloquies, his eyes coming alive with something indiscernible at the revelation of it, of their UNION.   the proof of their devotion resting right at the end of his palm, the familiar warmth pressed at the space below his jawline; it scares him, how comfortable he’s become with the thought of losing himself in someone else.   his skin burns with a thousand questions, but it takes the confirmation of lawless divinity and a touch of affection for the answers to be placed on the edge of his tongue, for his consciousness to melt.

HE GRUNTS AT FIRST, AN   effort to show he registered being addressed, before stopping his movement momentarily.   for the past few hours, he had been working on removing small rust stains from the bottom of the car, but after a little inspection ( and much to his dismay ) he realized he most likely will have to work on the exhaust pipe.

i find it so incredibly interesting that you sent in this ask because i was actually going to rant about this lmao. i’m sure people are probably tired of hearing my commentary regarding the show, just because i usually have a lot to say (and, well, to be honest with you, i haven’t seen anything beyond season 1 in an extremely long time so my memory is hazy) and i pretty much don’t really know what i’m talking about, but. cracks knuckles, here we go. this is probably going to be everywhere, but bear with me.
i don’t think dean, in that moment, was prepared for her to die.
allow me to rephrase that sentence: i don’t think he expected her to die right then and there. season 5 dean has already had a pretty good taste of really awful reality, so he’s at least beginning to understand that bad shit happens and people are most likely going to die, inevitably, because of their really icky situations. dean was put on trial by osiris in season 7 because of the guilt he had over things that happened in previous seasons, jo being called as a witness to his guilt. osiris tried to say that dean felt guilt over jo because it should have been his responsibility to get her to leave the life of hunting, and this point was subsequently argued because it wasn’t dean’s responsibility to bring her home. not only that, but she was likely to fall into the life of hunting anyway, because of her father. however, truth be told, dean holds a lot of guilt over jo, most likely because he feels as though he truly was responsible for the death of jo and everything that followed.
please refer to this conversation he has with sam after sam finds out he was possessed by an angel. i’ve touched on this a few times, partially because it really does make me super sad, but dean does what he does because he thinks he’s saving lives, as he himself reiterated with this conversation he had with sam. if he protests against someone joining him and sam on a hunt, if he gets frustrated with someone expressing reckless behavior that potentially puts them in danger in any capacity, this is because he can’t afford to let them walk into a situation where they are probably not going to make it out alive. otherwise, he blames himself (very severely, i might add) and he keeps shouldering all the secondhand guilt he receives from the consequences of circumstances that are out of his control the minute he makes his decisions. he thinks that, because his decisions are the catalysts for bad things happening to good people, he is responsible for the destruction of many.
that being said, dean has a heavy heart when it comes to jo harvelle, and to be completely and 100% honest with you, he never fully recovered from her death. for christ’s sake, she literally makes an appearance two years later because he’s still feeling guilt over her passing. i think that it was partially because he was in love with her and he couldn’t deal with the fact that she wasn’t around anymore, and, well – people you love, especially to that extent, are really hard to let go once you have them. osiris didn’t pick jo as a witness for shits and giggles.
if you’ve seen the two interact in season 2 onward, their relationship wasn’t just another ‘sibling bond’ and i’ll fight anyone who tells me otherwise. i hate that the potential was stripped from us because of her death; i honestly believe that, if jo had lived, dean could have fallen for her completely and unconditionally. in this moment where jo is dying from the wounds inflicted by the hellhounds, dean kissed her because it dawned on him that this particular moment would be the only time where he could show jo the gravity of his feelings for her without wasting his time, or putting other people’s lives in danger, by sitting down and explaining it to her verbally.
this isn’t the face of a man only overcome by his grief in the passing of a friend. this is the face of a broken man who has to let go of someone he was beginning to love without fear of consequence.
as i said, dean was not ready for her to die in that moment. not only is he completely shocked and was probably panicking, but to make sure that he and sam make it out of there alive, he basically had to force himself to swallow the reality that he essentially just watched the girl he was falling for die right in front of him; a girl, he believes, who didn’t deserve to die. a girl, he thinks, who would have stayed alive if it weren’t for him.
him kissing her? that was him letting her go, that was him placing the weight of her sacrifice on his shoulders, and she got the message – all of it – loud and clear.

Since Jo didn't get to say much while she was dying, can you tell us what YOU reckon her last words would be to Dean/Sam and Ellen if she had enough time?

OH FRICK. this is my favourite kind of pain, hun. I think Jo would have a bit more to say on her death bed, I mean, it’s her death bed, and despite the very worst of the world, she’s surrounded by most of the people she cares about in the world, and she may be willing to lay there and sacrifice her life, which is over now anyway, but I think she’d have a little more to say. 
( let’s not talk about how her last real words are “ mom , no. “ because that ruins me 100% of the time )

I. ELLEN.

I DON’T THINK JO APOLOGISES. I thought about this for a while, but I don’t think jo would feel right saying she’s sorry  ——-   she’s sorry her mom is dying with her. and she’s sorry she was reckless. but an all encompassing sorry would seem too much like she regretted her decision to hunt : and even then, she doesn’t. what she does say, if anything more than what she does in canon, is I LOVE YOU.   they never said that enough.

II. SAM.

in canon we see very little of jo and sam’s one on one interactions ( not including the Meg!Sam scene which is a whole other thing ) but I like to think the two were closer than the show put on.   dean wouldn’t have been the only winchester brother jo cared about. not for a second.  honestly, she’d probably give him the    ‘ be careful out there ‘   speech.  the   ‘ you’re important too ‘  bit.  she’d touch his cheek. she’d tell him to fight.

III. DEAN.

BOY OH BOY.  so in canon , obviously , her last words to dean are  ‘ make it later ‘.  and I’ll admit I don’t  hate that. it’s something that she hopes makes him smile , even just a little , but also says  ‘ DONT BE AN IDIOT. ‘   but i think after that , and before the kiss   ( DAMN THAT KISS IM SO EMO ABOUT IT ALWAYS )   she pulls him back like , hey.  there’s more .   we gotta talk about this while I’m still kicking.   ——-   but neither dean nor jo are big emotional talkers.  bottle that shit up !!  is basically their motto.  but jo makes an exception.  this is the man she loves.  and she’s about to die.  and she really , truly , doesn’t want to see him anytime soon.  she gives him a modified , more serious version of the ‘ be safe ‘ speech.  it’s the  ‘ you’re not carryin’ this alone ‘ and ‘ people love you ‘  she doesn’t say that she loves him specifically.  but it’s implied.   she tells him not to give up.   to not compromise , even for a second, on what he wants and believes in.   she knows her death is going to hit him , maybe not all at once , and maybe not right away , but in some small way , she knows she means SOMETHING to him , and that he’s gonna carry this around for a while.   you know what she says ?  ‘ THIS ISN’T ON YOU. ‘

so, i’ve been thinking about this for a while — and for a while, i mean at least a year — and i think i’m going to begin putting it into effect.
i’ve had a little headcanon rolling around in my head that some of castiel’s grace transferred into dean when he was raised from hell. i have to put more development into this idea with the help of vrdrah, but i’m thinking that with dean having been given a small amount of grace, he developed abilities that were previously unavailable to him. i haven’t put too much thought into the idea, since i never really considered it to be substantial enough of a headcanon to actually include it on my blog, but now that i’ve had time to reflect, i’m possibly going to include it and go canon divergent. i still need to get into the nitty gritty, decide what abilities it will give dean and how it will alter significant arcs in canon, but i wanted to post about this because if enough development goes into it, i’ll be making the shift to canon diverg. and it will be put in my rules.

he  had  become  all  sorts  of  contradictions.    his  eyes  bore  two  colors,   his  heart  bore  two  minds,   and  his  instincts  seemingly  split  between  rational  and  irrational  when  he  faced  the  man  before  him.   with  his  mouth  hovering  so  close  to  his  own,   a  hot  red  he  hadn’t  been  acquainted  with  before  colors  his  ears  from  the  neck  up.    slowly,    he  pulls  forward,   a  chaste  kiss.       ❝     YOU’RE  BETTER  THAT  WAY .     but  that  doesn’t  mean  you  always  have  to  be .     right  ?        ❞

A REBIRTH OF SPRING, RESTING   at the small of his back: it’s where decay itself goes to rot.   their connection alone is a hardened stream of uncertainty, and dean has yet to experience the quell of his nerves.   although, the severity is obstructed by the lightness of their adoration; ah, but he’s a bred cautionary tale from the murky depths of the gallows.   he’s come to adapt to the change in his routine, and he’s come to understand that ken’s always going to be there, even if it feels like he doesn’t want to be.   a small chuckle is listed on the end of his tongue in response to the acute greeting before his lips flatten into a thin line, fingers moving to find an available hand to grab.

Please no longer buy themes from @unseenmockingjay. She has been using a stolen base code ever since starting with commissions.

I noticed a few oddities in her coding after getting a theme from her and ever since then noticed how she continued to sell the similar coding that once was proclaimed to be from someone else.

Around September 2014 Jessica received a theme from a friend, which she tweaked many times and continued to use. Very important to note here is the #sidebar in above linked coding.

The source for the base Jessica used remains unknown, but around February 2015 she updated her credit page with the following text that I could see via the Wayback Machine. I checked the coding and again found the #sidebar in it. She as well disabled right click to refrain from any theft

Whether the coding is from her friend or from Hollywhood is something I could not figure out, but it does not appear that Jessica cares much about it. She considered starting with commissions around May 2015 while still having the coding she previously had. The same coding that either belonged to her friend and / or to Hollywhood. I looked at the Wayback Machine again and could not find any saved pages from May, but this is her coding in August 2015 and it remains to be the same base including the #sidebar. Up until now she has kept the base

If her disabled right click does not allow you to directly see her theme, you can type a “view-source:” in front of it. Furthermore if Jessica decides to remove the #sidebar you can view a saved page from October 7th 2016.

As a result Jessica obviously does not exactly know where her base originally comes from. Her friend is no longer on tumblr, but Hollywhood does have a strict rule on using her theme.

Please do not buy themes from someone who does not sell a base that is their own nor cares about it. She does commissions for over an entire year and made hundreds of themes, but never changed her base.

hi you all know me i’m marie etc etc and i got a notice of this post yesterday. this is true, because i’m one of those people preaching this ever since noticing this a long time ago. i told this to people who wanted to buy a theme from her and i know a lot more than described in this post. however, i was hesitant to reblog it yesterday. a lot of people come to me complaining about her and this isn’t something new, but tbh i wanted to see what happens.

so i did and well, she only deleted the sidebar div (LINK), but if you compare it with the above screenshots then you will notice that the other coding is still the same and essentially, this is still the same coding. press ctrl + f when viewing her source and search for sidebar. you will find a div that is entirely useless and it hasn’t ever been used in her themes. 

this shouldn’t be in a coding that you made yourself. divs that have no use for the theme whatsoever shouldn’t be in a base that you made yourself.

plus, i once used her theme base before starting out with coding. way before she sold her commissions and during the time she told everyone her theme belonged to said friend. this was the base i got from her. you will again notice the sidebar. after i used her base for around a month or so i got called out for using it. along with a few others a blog claimed it was a base by hollywhood. so i messaged jess about it. afterwards she updated her credit.

this hasn’t been the only case she stole from others, which makes it so ironic for me that she tells everyone how she constantly asks for credit / asks people about whether she can use coding from them. well,,,,, she didn’t when she took things from me (LINK 1 / LINK 2). this is just the credit, but it was a very awkward situation for me when i helped someone out with their coding and noticed this. if you wanna compare, here you go. (edit note: the comparison is now, after she changed it. i never saved her previous credit, but it was LITERALLY the same)

the thing is ????? it’s been way over a year that she’s been making commissions. i made a base myself right before starting with those as a beginner. it took me an entire day and you cannot tell me that she never had the time to write one. we are all now way more experienced and if i would write a new one now i would probably only take a few hours. she just doesn’t care and by removing the sidebar content just shows that a) above statement is true and b) she still doesn’t give a fuck.
