Once again, y'all's disdain for OCs is truly baffling because you sure do love a 'reader insert' who has a very specific personality, backstory, and even a nickname!

Also y'all can't imagine yourselves as the OC? You know what I do when I read that an OC has brown eyes? I ignore it! Or I imagine myself with brown eyes!

i’d like to add that so many readers of romance novels, or physical books in general, constantly state that they can’t get into a book unless they find the main character relatable or could almost see themselves within them / within the book. these books sell millions of copies and people love them. so ya’ll saying you can’t imagine yourselves / hate oc’s but will spend your money on physical books and reimagine yourself within them is wild to me if i’m being honest lmao.
