ok but i got 605 points tho

ok this stupid puzzle was wrecking my brain. but here’s proof that it’s geometrically impossible: even though the total area for the triangles outlined matches up, the area for the number of squares doesn’t.

it’s not possible to completely fill up the empty area with the pieces provided

I had to go and reconstruct this in Illustrator because I was bored. I built the full triangle first and then tried to extract each shape from it, but there were not enough of the correct side pieces to make some shapes, so I had to split full blocks into them. What remained of the original triangle are the two gray fragments at the top right.

My visit to Cape May

I storm into the beach side olive oil shoppe, my arms outstretched, toppling bottles of extra virgin to the floor as I approach the counter to demand the sluttiest shit they have. The underpaid college student behind the register trembled at my request. His hand rose hesitantly to slam a small bell on the polished granite, summoning Sebastiano from his recent jog along the boardwalk. The bronzed deity rose forth from the employees only entrance. In his hands; olives. Carefully he wedged the fruits between his sweat-glistening pectorals and gave a mighty flex, persuading that sweet, sweet nectar to stream down his rippling abdomen. The floorboards parted beneath him, his waterfall of artisan goods flowed like wine into the hopper below and soon, a bottle rose up through the counter top. I removed my fanny pack of stolen belt buckles and placed it in the palm of the confused clerk, accepting my vessel of golden blessings. Sebastiano gave me a wink as I bowed in gratitude, traversing back through the field of shattered glass and inferior oils and slogging through the sand to return to the sea.

Spent all night building a keyblade of out K'nex like a responsible 22 year old.

Makanix could you walk me through the construction of your rendition of the Kingdom Key? As well as tell me the number of pieces. The keyblade in my profile pick is but a crude facsimile of the kingdom key. Yours is superior in every way. Also I built mine back in 2014.

Sorry, I don’t have it put together anymore and I never got around to making detailed instructions because I hit a roadblock in perfecting the stability of the gray blade part. This is an older photo of the first version, the problem was the gray tube part would twist and the key end wouldn’t stay straight. I made a second version that was more stable but couldn’t get it to connect properly to the handle and that’s where I stopped. I would probably need to order a custom piece in order to perfect it but it’s also been a couple years since I’ve touched it last.  It also took an absurd amount of pieces. I had to order more of the yellow 5-point connectors in order to finish the hilt. Here’s a few progress pictures and variations I tried if it helps any:

As you all, my followers, know by this point, my mother just lost her job and we are going to lose our insurance soon. I have a herniated disc which severely inhibits my ability to do everyday activities (such as sitting in class, eating publicly, etc). I need help paying off all the medical bills I currently have before even thinking about future procedures, such as spinal surgery.

In March of 2016 I was forcibly hospitalized against my will and had to pay for that, I’m still paying that off. Then I have my previous injections in my spine, with insurance they still cost about 400$ total, and I also need to get an ablation soon which could cost over 2000$.

Anything you could give would be greatly appreciated.

So I finally got home so I can show a picture of one of my bills. My last two injections were much more expensive than my previous ones, and this is how much I owe. I still pay 100$ a month towards this, so any help would still be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for everyone who donated so far, I have enough for my next payment! It’s really appreciated.

Just for some updates:

  • My mom still has no work but we have new insurance now.
  • I can no longer get injections due to the new insurance.
  • I am still paying the bills off and trying to plan for possibly getting spinal surgery. Help is still greatly appreciated.

This adorable little robot is designed to make sure its photosynthesising passenger is well taken care of. It moves towards brighter light if it needs, or hides in the shade to keep cool. When in the light, it rotates to make sure the plant gets plenty of light. It even likes to play with humans.

Oh, and apparently, it gets antsy when it’s thirsty.

The robot is actually an art project called “Sharing Human Technology with Plants” by a roboticist named Sun Tianqi. It’s made from a modified version of a Vincross HEXA robot, and in his own words, it’s purpose is “to explore the relationship between living beings and robots.”

I don’t care if it’s silly. I want one.
