hi anon! volcano shake 'em up was the title of a fake, theoretical mcr song in a post by tumblr user girlblocker, which was a joke about how mcrblr discusses the band's deep cut songs. it was posted on sep. 21st 2022, but in the day and a half that has since passed, seemingly all of mcr fandom on tumblr collectively agreed to pretend that vseu was a real song that was never properly released. this resulted in what i like to call a cambrian explosion of fake edits, song lyrics, musical and word analysis, and historical lore being posted about it. multiple groups of people have worked together to consolidate various posted lyrics into actual songs, and are in the processing of writing full demos. this phenomenon seems to have been limited to tumblr only, at least for the time being, though we do wonder if the band will see our work and how they might react. we're truly a special community around here <3
