Since around when Martial Arts films got pretty popular in the area. the United Kingdom has had a fear of Asian weapons across the country. With stricter gun laws nunchucks and katana's become feasibly convient weapon for self defense and riots. With a more major fear for people like Thatcher that they'd be able to stand against law enforcement. So quite a few martial arts movies got banned in the region alongside stricter laws on such weapons
