Tears began streaming down her face at the realisation, Rowan was her mate, but not hers. He did not belong to her and never would, So be it.
“Very well” he said softly.
She nodded her head in response.
“Maybe in the next life then?”
“Of course” she replied, in the next life, he’d be hers. And she his.
She startled awake, gasping for air as she took in her surroundings, she was in Mistward. Not there, in that dream. Oh how cruel her mind was, She had indeed noticed the mating bond but had chosen to ignore it, leaving it alone. She sighed as she laid back down, leaving the covers off her sweaty form. Closing her eyes, she allowed herself to think once more about that green eyed, silver haired prince, who would not and never be, hers. in the next life maybe.
