It’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve had to leave my city. 3 weeks since my last shift at both of my restaurants. I miss my home. I miss my friends, my city, my job, $1 pizza, after work drinks, and complaining about the trains. I’m incredibly grateful that I have a home to come to. Sisters that will help pay my rent and a wonderful support system! But not all of us have that.
Did you know that most restaurants in #nyc employ illegal immigrants to work in their kitchens? It’s always been a safe place for immigrant workers to make a good living for their family. Here’s a simple way to help them and all other restaurant workers who’ve lost their jobs!
@igchospitality on Instagram is offering #FREE daily family meals to all restaurant family employees in #newyorkcity! Go to their insta bio to find out how to support or receive daily meals!
I love you guys! Stay safe and please be smart! I don’t know when I get to come home again but I can’t wait for that day!
