“Spider… Menace Man? That is the dumbest name I’ve possibly ever heard. And here I just thought you missed the address for the leather club. ” A thousand questions for this dude once she figures out she’s actually sober and not a costume party.

H’okay. Two possibilities. One involved her calling his bluff from the get go. Playing along to one up him and his satirical farce of the Hero from New York. Irritating, but doable. Or, two, she’d been #@%&^ with him.
“Lemme get this straight. You muddle up me an’ Web’s trademarked spanx, which already happened twice on the way here, by the way, but you aren’t familiar with the name?” Fact she knew the iconic phrase written for Spider-Man in The Daily Bugle was suspicion enough. “Know what? You’re just wasting my time, so beat it, princess mononoke. There’s a marathon of Laverne and Shirley starting in an hour, and I gotta fill my daily sitcom quota.”

The first thing I’m gonna say, which might leave a lot of you running for the hills, I don’t romantically ship Deadpool and Spider-Man. Yup. I said it. I want this blog to be as close to canon as possible, and while I do agree Wade may have a bit of a ‘questionable’ thing for Spider-Man ( Personally, I just think it’s Wade being Wade. However that’s just my opinion. ), it definitely would not be reciprocated.
Phew. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to that headcanon. So. We all know Wade is a very complex character. Plays by his own rules, does things out of his own self interest, purposely makes people uncomfortable… so on and so forth. However, every publication of Deadpool gives him a different spin. In some, he’s just the insane goofy meme machine. Personally I don’t prefer those versions, as they don’t tend give him very much depth behind the wacky one liners, and he’s usually all about comedic effect. So it’s no surprise those runs would give Wade a strange infatuation toward Spider-Man.
But… others, while he’ll still spit a wise crack or two about his attraction to his pal, he isn’t actively trying to seduce or bed Spidey in any means. I think, because Wade holds a deep admiration for the hero, all he really wants in the end is Spider-Man’s respect and mutual companionship. )

Surprise, surprise. Seems the merc had been ceaselessly running at the lip, once again. Perhaps about something related to the heroic icon everyone knew and loved, or, perhaps, something completely irrelevant and arbitrary. Either way, that was his shtick. His hallmark. And he hadn’t been labeled the ‘Merc with the Mouth’ for nothing. However - the sudden demand of hers visibly irked him. The whites of his eyes squinting to exhibit the faint irritation growing toward her proposal. “Interuptin’? ‘Ya got guts, Debroah Kerr.” He quips just as he reaches over to help himself to her plate instead out of spite. “As I was saying, an’ this part’s important… y’see that guy groveling in the back? Don’t actually look, he’s skittish, and I only know ‘cos I’ve been scouting him since this morning. Now, since I’m gonna be shooting him full of holes in say… Two minutes, three, tops… figured I’d give you a warning to skedaddle. ‘Cos everyone knows you and Cap are tied at the hip, and the last thing I need right now is to be flagged down by the Star Spangled Banner himself if he thinks you’re in trouble.
