study buddy ask game:

i hate studying and try not to do it as much as possible cuz it rarely works for me but when i do study…

i normally start off by playing some of my favourite music on shuffle (ranging from Queen to Doja Cat, normally the your Lie in April opening is in there too) and then i realize that i’ve just spent an hour having my own karaoke session instead of studying 😭 the music eventually turns off after i realize i’ve gotten no studying done so i sit down and finally try to focus.

i normally throw my phone onto a couch from where i’m sitting if it makes any noise (out of frustration of not being able to focus probably)

Whenever i do lose focus i will check the time, look around me and just will stare at the pages just fully zoned out (which is one of the only times i ever stay still while studying, im always fidgeting or moving around 💀).

the only studying i actually get done alone is when i copy my notes down over and over again, whilst mumbling them out loud. it’s the only time my hands and brain are busy enough for me to actually take in information and focus.

ive never tried this (cuz i’ve always studied alone) but i feel like if i had someone with me to test me or we learn the material together it would be easier. either that or i end up talking their ear off while we study instead and i get nothing done! 😩

also… unless my hands are busy or i’m eating food, normally after a studying session my nails are chewed off aswell.

and this is why i never study for things, because this happens every time.
