the solid hundred americans saying "idk general american". i dont know what that is so im gonna pretend you mean "I sound like a disney channel character"
shoutout to whoever said "gay". also whoever said "autism".
to those curious; 'newfoundland' accents are what everyone i know says to refer to the stereotypical "canadian accent" that bad american TV has, 'cause you're basically only gonna hear that in a random fishing town on the Maritimes' coast.
the fact that almost every french person called their accent sexy
all my fellow canadians who are saying "canadian but i dONT SOUND NEWFIE" like yes babe we are not all One Single Fishing Town Accent (no hate to the newfies tho ily)
the one who said "i sound like siri. i have no accent" meanwhile siri is So Fucking Accented to my ears
the amount of people with english as a second language in the notes who now love their accents <3 that's great, love urself

I'm making this statement over here, too, for transparency's sake:

last June I began helping caretake for an elderly relative with dementia, and while I know what I'm doing is important, the circumstances around the caretaking (which I'm keeping private, for now) has made it extremely hard.

I'm often stressed, or tired, and trying to juggle my personal and professional life to keep everything working. I have more opposition than I do support, which adds to all of the above, of course. but I'm doing my best.

all this to say I especally appreciate everyone's kindness and patience right now while I try to get through this. it hasn't been easy, but I know there are people who still enjoy what I do, and that means a lot to me, and is very useful on the bad days. thank you 💖💜🖤

I received a lot of support and encouragement since making this post, as well as heard from many in similar or adjacent caretaking setups, and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate it. it really, genuinely, lifts a little weight off of me and makes me feel less isolated.

I am still learning to pace myself and my shoulder (it's mostly healed! and I am not in PAIN, but it does still feel fatigued after a lot of drawing on top of my dayjob), but hopefully I can get some more pages out before the end of the month!
