I’ve been thinking about moving for a while now —- this blog is, basically, a mess and, to be honest, it bothers the hell out of me. So, with the new year, comes a new blog!
Please be warned, there’s a good chance I might be dropping a few threads, as well (nothing recent), but this does not mean that I will be dropping plots, as well.

I’ve been thinking about moving for a while now ---- this blog is, basically, a mess and, to be honest, it bothers the hell out of me. So, with the new year, comes a new blog!

Relaxing into Lexa’s touch was almost second nature at this point, something she can’t help but do; even in present company. She can almost FEEL her mom burning holes in her back, something she’s ignoring in favor of offering up a tiny smile to the brunette in front of her. The press of their foreheads together left her grounded, a pleased hum climbing up her throat. “Good. —but now I’m definitely not going back to Camp Jaha tonight.” Because that would just be awful & she’s not about to face the Spanish Inquisition from her mother tonight. Maybe tomorrow, or the next day; but not tonight. Oh no. That would just have to wait for another day.
Image

------------------ A throaty chuckle rumbled in Lexa’s chest, though she gave a short nod --- the time apart would, hopefully, give Abby (and the rest of the Arkers) some time to accept their relationship. A cursory glance around ---- she noted the looks of surprising acceptance coming from the bulk of the arkers, as well as the smug amusement to Octavia’s smile, Bellamy’s blatant, if a bit lecherous, grin, and the calm acceptance of remnants of the hundred ---- told her that the battle might not be as hard as they expected, and her attention returned to the starling wrapped comfortably in her arms. “Shall I give the order to gather the horses, then?”

Clarke hadn’t even bothered seeing who she was talking to, not really; too absorbed in the book that she was reading. Majoring in medicine was honestly starting to seem like the worst idea EVER. But at the quiet mutter, she turned to raise an eyebrow, head tilting slightly with a smile. “It’s you.” Well, that changed things. Her lips curled even more, eyes dancing as she placed her own pencil down & turned more fully in her seat. “You’re blushing.”

Image

--------------- “I---I am not,” Lexa stuttered through a half-hearted protest, clearing her throat again and straightening her spine as she fixated her expression into a look of boredom and indifference ---- she was nearly positive it was unconvincing. “What does the fact that ‘it’s me’ have to do with it?” While she reveled in Clarke’s attention (who wouldn’t?), experience told her to be cautious.

“so— i’ve been thinking. & you know how i am once that starts.                 but i was wondering.. how do same sex couples down here have                 kids?”
Image

----------------- An eyebrow arched high. “There are a couple ways,” Lexa drawled, amusement visible in her eyes at Clarke’s innocent curiosity --- yet, a part of her wondered what, exactly, had spurred the question, if something more lay beneath the surface. Did Clarke wish to have children, already? While, yes, bearing offspring at such a young age was a rather common thing for her people --- a long life expectancy was far from guaranteed, on the ground --- she hadn’t thought the skaikru followed the same tradition. “Some couples find a benefactor, typically a family member or close friend to either party, to help them --- for two men, a woman that will carry their seed and grow the child, for two women, a man that will implant his seed into one. Others simply adopt a child that has been orphaned ---- there are many in need of homes and families.”

“y’know, i can hear you back there staring at me.”
Image

--------------- Lexa started --- she hadn’t even realized that she had been staring, but the other girl had snagged every ounce of her attention the second she walked through the library doors and sat at the table in front of her. She cleared her throat, forcing her eyes back onto the textbook in front of her. “Sorry,” Lexa muttered as her fingers fiddled nervously with her pencil ---- she vehemently ignored the heat rising in her cheeks.
