The Lost Soul || Prologue
Mingyu's POV
Click click click, tap tap tap, as the girl was typing out an essay on their lap. Sitting on her bed, she focused on homework for art class. As she was typing, she paused as her stomach started to growl. She took a deep breath and stretched her arms bending backward in the stretch. “Alright, let’s finish this paragraph and I’ll take a break” She promised herself. She turned to look at the clock, 8:45 pm, it reads. “Is it almost 9??” she pondered looking back at the laptop and continuing her work.
Suddenly a flash of white light snapped outside the window, Crack- boom the sky roared in thunder. Rain starts to pour down from the sky as thunder continues to clap and lightning flashes through the sky. Shortly after the sound of a door bangs open downstairs. “Dad?” she called out, there was no answer. She got up from the bed and set the laptop aside heading downstairs. “Dad?” she continued to call and looked around the living room, but still no answer. The house was silent, not a word, not a sound. She looked everywhere, “Dad where are you??” She called out again, still, no answer. She then noticed the double back doors were wide open, the curtains blowing in the howling wind, as the rain continued to pour, and as lightning flashed. Quickly, she walked up to the doors and shut them, locking them behind her. She looked outside the kitchen window looking for her father, but still no sign. No shadows indicated any sign of him.
As she turns around she sees a sparkle coming from the counter. She walked over to the counter and picked up a hexagonal tablet with various colored crystals embedded into it next to my father’s belongings. At the top-right edge is a carving of what appears to be Latin text. “Ab ovo usque ad mala” She read aloud in the empty dark kitchen. The text started to glow gold, and the crystals started to glow with their corresponding colors, while the tablet started to shake. She dropped the tablet onto the counter, as the air started to float around her. Feeling a little weaker, the girl started to glow with various colors of the crystals around her. The next thing she knew her body had fallen to the floor, unconscious, the crystals rose from the board, darting out of the house scattered around the earth.
“Mingyu for crying out loud, wake up!” I jumped out of bed and looked around startled as the sunlight crept in through the curtains. I looked at the clock as it read 12:45 pm. “You are so lucky we have today off for a change.” Seungcheol chuckled looking at me with his arms crossed. “Is everything alright?” he asked, looking at me a little concerned. I took a deep breath and rubbed my forehead. “Yeah, I’m alright... I guess I just needed that extra sleep, huh?” I laughed lightly, getting out of bed fixing my hair, and heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Seungcheol stood by watching me leave, shrugging it off, heading back downstairs to the living room. “What an interesting dream,” I thought watching Hyung head downstairs.

Notes: That crystal board image, is a general idea of what the Crystal tablet is set up and looks like. It's not real, or designed like that irl, but that is how I set it up for a general Idea for the story line :D.
