So Fox News ran a story about how they think libraries are turning into drug-infested sex dens and I am shocked, shocked that I was never offered any drugs during my 15+ years working in libraries.
Where do they think the sex is happening?? Every single aisle is lit in that horrible LED lighting. The teens don't even make out here anymore.
As a state certified librarian I can assure you that you just have to go into your local library and ask if they're participating in the new Fox News Hysteria program smh. If they're not, you'll just have to renew your library card and use the fun and valuable resources they're offering right now, such as wifi hotspots, museum passes, dvd lending, mid level adult erotica, ebook lending, and printing! 😔

He comes up to New York when he has a long weekend and for holidays, I make it down around once a month-ish. I could do more, but part of the point is making sure he has a life I'm not getting my greasy fingers all over, so.
And Ned's his only roommate; they have a place off-campus where Pete can get in and out with the Spidey suit without being spotted. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I let him keep stripping down in alleyways all over Boston?

Hey, happy Earth Day! Who wants to talk about climate change?
Yeah, okay, fair, I kinda figured the answer to that would be "ugh do we have to?" What if I told you I have good news though? Good news with caveats, but still good news.
What if I told you that since the Paris Agreement in 2015, we've avoided a whole degree celsius of global warming by 2100, or maybe more?
Current projections are 2.7C, which is way better than the 3-5C (with a median of 3.7C) we were expecting in 2015. It's not where we want to be - 1.5C - but it is big, noticeable progress!
And it's not like we either hit 1.5C and avoid all the big scary consequences or fail to hit 1.5C and get all of them - every tenth of a degree of warming we avoid is going to prevent more severe problems like extreme weather, sea level rise, etc.
This means that climate change mitigation efforts are having a noticeable impact! This means a dramatically better, safer future - and if we keep pushing, we could lower the amount of global warming we end up with even further. This is huge progress, and we need to celebrate it, even though the fight isn't over.
It's working. Keep going.

Sometimes I look at the Big Hair People in the comics I wrote back then and have to remind myself that, actually, they were, if anything, understated.
Okay but how did they all get their hair like this? I'd do anything to have this kind of volume.
It's permed, then heavily teased, then sprayed with about half a bottle of Aquanet while you blow dry the hair with your head upside down, then you blow dry the bangs while combing them higher and higher and spraying the other half of the can of Aquanet. You have to add so much hairspray that your hair feels lacquered.
I'm not even sure they make hairspray with that kind of hold anymore?
to get that kind of volume you have to be willing to put a hole in the ozone layer

Hating people who do like the ship (and spreading said hate) does make you an anti.

It would be another layer of horror on top of everything else, and he would feel extremely beholden to P!Peter to get him home and make sure he was as taken care of as possible while that was being worked out. I think there would be this… super conflicted mess of emotions where on the one hand, he wouldn't want to get close to or feel anything other than responsibility towards Peter at all, and on the other hand…
…Peter is so much like his own kid, who's dead, and who he's never actually gotten the opportunity to grieve with a clear mind since he was under Extremis's influence before. I think he would feel a strong connection to Peter despite himself, and it would be hard for him to actually manage to suppress the part of himself that wanted to see Peter with (genuine) parental affection.
(And at the same time, everything about Peter would just be this visceral reminder of the giant gaping wound in his life where his kid used to be, so it would all be underscored by grief and pain as well.)
I think it would be super hard for him to figure out how to actually… approach Peter in light of all that. Both for protecting his own heart and because SIM's whole deal was twisted paternal affection, I think his instinct would be to be… not unkind, but definitely distant? Bbbbut then on the other hand it would be so hard to watch this kid try to put on a brave face about all the trauma he suffered-- that Tony caused-- without offering some comfort or guidance, too.
SO: it would be a mess. And yes, there would be a part of Tony that found it hard to let Peter go in the end, not out of any actual desire to "keep" him but just because… that would be it, you know? The last 'good' thing in his life, his last tie to his own Peter, the last thing that gave him any kind of purpose, etc. He would be gratified to have done some teeny tiny thing to take responsibility for what he put Peter through, but he'd also be very sad.]]
