The search for more associates was still on, and having multitude of people with a range of different skills was almost integral. Time to play the game of 'knock on the door as loud and as fast as possible until the guy answers.' (control-this-town)

Tobias had fell asleep sitting at his desk, papers sprawled about recklessly. He had been trying to put together information about a few of the towns members, but exhaustion finally took over and he passed out, pen still resting lazily in his hand.

He awoke to a loud banging at his door. Was it Jekyll? The blackmailer assumed it wasn’t for two reasons; he never knocks. Two; he doubted he would see him for a while after the… Incident that took place. Toby finally got up, running a few fingers through his hand, covering his eye and discolored skin with the dark strands.

The disgruntled blackmailer opened the door to greet a man in formal attire. He was too tired for this. Tobias just stared at his new ‘guest’ with an indifferent expression, hoping it would be enough to drive the man away.

“Why you?” He released a quiet snicker before taking lifting his feet off the table and onto the floor.

“The real question is why not you? Ya seem to know what ya doin, ya ain’t no goody-two-shoes, ya know how to keep private,” Jimmy lifted himself from the chair and started making his little angled walking trip toward the blackmailer, “you’d do great, I guarantee it.”

He jumped a little mid stroll in remembrance. “Oh, and of course..there’s a payment to make it worth ya while.”

Tobias swallowed a heavy feeling of worry forming in his gut as once again, his previous mafia made its way into his thoughts. He had just finally made his way out of that toxic contract he had made with the boss, and now here came some stranger with an ambitious revenge fantasy.

”What’s the catch?” The blackmailer growled, standing up to face the man. Sure, he could use some cash, plus, he seemed to be interested in Tobias’s work, but he knew not everything was sunshine and rainbows. He knew that from experience.

The solid wooden door clicked open, and Jimmy ready to introduce himself. “Ey there pal, d'ya-”

He stopped mid sentence to actually view the man he was peering at. This guy seemed to not care one bit. What was his deal, did his broad die or something? He lifted his hands up, elbows still at his side and confronted the blackmailer mockingly. “Oh, excuse me, you doin’ sometin else Mr. Home Alone? Or are ya jus’ gonna bust my fuckin nuts standin’ around doin nothing?”

He scoffed as the man spoke, he didn’t like his smart-assed attitude one bit. Not like this new fellow was any special, though, Tobias usually didn’t warm up to people quickly, sometimes he never did. It was all in the way they presented themselves, and so far, the sharply dressed man was not on his best of terms.

“I was sleeping.” Came the gruff reply, clear edge in his voice. Tobias’ face never changed from the unresponsive expression he had been wearing prior to opening the door. “What do you want?”

The godfather glared in response and folded his arms. Who was this guy to be displaying such moxie? “Well, first ya can get rid of the attitude ya givin me right now, and second, I’d like to discuss business.”

All bad blood aside, it was indeed time to actually make a proposition. Jimmy strolled just a tad closer to the man, putting a slight amount of trust that he wouldn’t sock him in the face in response. “You got a name, Home Alone?”

Business? What was this guy implying? So far, Tobias didn’t want anything to do with him, he could tell he was the type to deceive, lie and control. Could he potentially be a part of a mafia? It was quite possible, in this town you could never be quite sure.

The blackmailer remained skeptical, his mouth forming into one of a pout, his nose scrunching up. He usually portrayed his emotions quite drastically, it helped to ward off unwanted guests such as this one, sadly, though, it hadn’t been working.

“Tobias.” He answered bluntly, moving back slightly as the man inched closer to him, uncomfortable with the close proximity he and the stranger were in.

Well, it’s a start. The godfather leaned on the doorframe with his hand and examined the innards of the house briefly. It was a kind of controlled chaos of papers and documents that he could only assume meant something; Tobias isn’t like the townsfolk, and he has information he could use against them.

“Alright, ‘Tobias’, I’m doing somethin right now and it requires some of ya skills, I could only assume. Dis somethin is what we should discuss inside and not out hea’, if that’s alright wit you.” His mocking tone never wavered, yet still determined to have the blackmailer on board.

“If you must.” The blackmailer replied nonchalantly, moving into the small house in order to let his new guest inside. Usually at this time, he wouldn’t have been this welcoming, though he never really was in the first place.

As he made his way inside, he passed by his work desk and started towards a small round table near the middle of the common room. Tobias seated himself in one of the three chairs, leaving the other man to sort himself out.

“Before you ask me more personal questions, who and what the hell are you, and what do you want?”

The godfather just followed the man inside to their seats beside the rounded table and plopped himself down on the chair farthest from the blackmailer, planting his crossed feet on the table before his little introduction.

“I’m glad you asked. The name’s Vespucci, Jimmy Vespucci, and I ‘ave-” he looked up to the ceiling to reclaim his thoughts, “well, used to 'ave a luxurious crime family; I was da boss, the mastermind ya see.” Jimmy looked back at the blackmailer square in the eyes and continued. “But, somebody caught us in the act, and my whole family was slaughtered in fronta me.”

“So now I’m stuck in ya shitty town, tryinta’ raise myself back up, and the first thing I got on my mind right now is revenge on the mothafucka who tried to whack me.”

“What I need right now is numbas, people who can help me get dis revenge.” He brought his right hand up to face level and directed a point at Tobias. “Dat would be you.”

The blackmailer gave an unamused glance towards this so called 'Jimmy' as he rested his feet on the table, but didn't press further. He wanted to know what this mans' motive was after all.

Tobias had never truly been the most talented person, and whether it be the fact he was desperately in need of sleep, or that he never had truly believed in his own abilities, the thought that Jimmy wanted him for his revenge fantasy seemed almost surreal.

"Why me?" Tobias asked, sounding uncertain, his gaze fixed anywhere except directed towards the man in front of him.
